I’d be shocked if anyone outside of maybe a complete homer would ever even halfway consider OU over LSU in the rankings at this point. OU looks good no doubt. The defense has improved and the offense is its typically explosive self. This seems crazy to say but LSU’s offense is even more explosive. OU beat Texas by 7 at a neutral site. LSU beat them by 7 as well but on the road. Then they turned around and beat #7 Florida on the road by 14. Fuckin’ A that is beyond impressive. We’ll see how they close things out as their slate is the usual kick you in the balls SEC West schedule. Still plenty of opportunities for them to stumble but damn they look solid so far with that new look offense.

My bad. I thought it was a road game. I’m on vacation and didn’t get to see any CFB this weekend. That’s still some impressive stuff though no matter where the game was played.

Grinch is one hell of a defensive coordinator. Great grab by OU and certainly much needed.

It’s going to be fun to see this thing play out. It may not be the typical Bama versus Clemson for it all. The top 6 teams look very strong at this point. Honestly out of them I’d probably put Clemson at #6 right now. They look a little shaky, especially on offense plus their schedule is dogshit. That UNC game in particular was flat out ugly. Still a lot of football left though.

Yep, obviously I couldn't rank them yet with 3 losses. But I've got them just outside. If they win next week I'll have no choice though. Even with 3 losses.

Who is ND's best win? Virginia? USC?

Yeah, Georgia's loss is worse, but they both have the same record, UGA has a far better win, and a head to head win over Notre Dame.

I’m actually one of those in the minority that love the Golden Domers but you’re absolutely right. There’s no way they should be ahead of UGA or Florida for that matter. And squeaking by an average USC team yesterday doesn’t exactly help justify their spot as the highest ranked one loss team.

I think it comes down to 'eye test'.
ND looked better losing to Georgia than Georgia did losing to Scar.
And that was yesterday so it's fresh.

It'll get back to normal next week probably.

Seriously though I am excited to see the schedule get tougher for Wisky cuz outside of that Northwestern game you guys look lights out. And truthfully it gets tiring to see Ohio State dominate the conference. Let’s get some new blood in there. Would love to see the Badgers win the BIG.

I'd love to see new blood in the playoffs too. While good, Ohio State hasn't been any more dominate in the B1G the last 10 years than any other conference. Not as much so as a few others.

Oklahoma beats a near top-10 ranked RIVAL AT A NEUTRAL SITE and Wisconsin beats a not ranked team AT HOME and Wisconsin jumps OU in at least two polls in which they had OU ranked above them the week prior.
