There were a few plays where he was too quick to run, or took too long to pull the trigger on the throw. I think the more snaps he gets, the more comfortable he'll get. He's not a gunslinger like Mayfield or Murray; he's more conservative and controlled, which is why I'd bet his fumble pisses him off even more. He's a hard worker, so I expect him to keep working hard to get even better.Jalen was as advertised but I'll pump the brakes for now. IMO he ran and/or was forced to run too much and made a couple of dangerous throws. There were some plays I don't think we get away with against formidable defenses. Houston isn't a layup opponent but they are an AAC team with a new coaching staff and post-their best defensive player ever.
All that said, to hear Jalen voice his own displeasure over his performance tells me he gets it. There's work to be done.
I think the Heisman will come down to Hurts and Ehrlinger. What if OU produces another heisman here? I know its early, and Im not predicting it. I mean a third different, some might say undersized qbs, to win it. Pretty fucking remarkable if he is in the conversation at end of the season.
Thats not what I asked, but ok.I think the Heisman will come down to Hurts and Ehrlinger.
I didn't really see a question in your post other that 'what if OU produces another Heisman QB' .. and that's not really a question see how wtf are OU fans supposed to say.Thats not what I asked, but ok.
