Some current backup QBs the Colts could trade for

Now I know some of these QBs' teams will not trade probably but just pointing out these options

Fitzpatrick (when he loses the job)
Bridgewater
Keenum (when he loses the job)
Flacco (when he loses the job because he went to the wrong team)

I think these would be decent options. Fitz would do great in that offense for the time being as a good stopgap option. He's one of the best in the league at that. Bridgewater is a mystery but the Colts might suit his playing style more than NO. Flacco if he still has something left would have his best run yet statistically as a Colt. Finally, Keenum may actually be the best option here. He was okay with Minnesota, but Minnesota's offensive system is not as deep as the Colts.

None of those are actually better than Brissett except maybe Bridgewater, and no way the Saints trade him with Brees being as old as he is.

Why practice fucked if you're the Colts? They aren't a serious SB team anymore.

The Seattle Seahawks reluctantly offer Geno Smith to the Colts for a couple of 1st rounders and maybe a 2nd or 2.

the vikings are ready to deal QB k cousins for 2 future 1st rounders to be determined latter and an undisclosed amount of cash Indy….

At first thought, I thought that you wrote Candy instead of cash.

To be fair, I have only been up for a hour

I vote for Fitzpatrick.

The longer the Dolphins go without making Rosen the starter, the longer they will be the perpetual rebuilding team. Fitz would be cheaper, and give time for Indy to draft a QB next year and let him develop a bit.

Or trade Rosen to the colts....

Or this option

I'd roll with Brissett or Kelly. Really good QB class next draft.
Agreed. Supremely pointless to bring in another replacement value QB to challenge a QB you already liked in Brissett- who you need to find out how good he is on a non-joke roster.

Nothing that is available right now is better than Brissett.

Nate Sudfeld.

Colts tried to sign him off of the Eagles practice squad in 2017 forcing the Eagles to sign him. Frank Reich coached him while he was in Philadelphia as well so he is familiar with him.

Brissett is their best option to start. With that said if Chad "Mr synthetic weed" Kelly is your backup then you are in trouble.

Cousins has a no trade clause. The Vikes are stuck with him until 2021.

Said this in the other thread - Chad Kelly is going to surprise some people. And not in his usual wander-into-their-house-at-2-am-drunk way.

& just in case if you want the vikes to keep him longer :dhd:

He has a no transition tag clause after 2020 season.
You will have to overpay him again :becky:

I'm with most of you. See what Brissett can do with a decent roster around him and a good offensive minded coach. I think he's as good or better than everyone on that list anyway and may surprise. Regardless, they will be drafting a QB next season.

Josh Dobbs > Jacoby Brissett

Jussayin

Irsay should hit up Colbert on the DL.
