It's not really a surprise to me what took place today. As much as I want to believe that Coach Pelini is the next best thing since sliced bread, he is still learning.........I think he would probably admit that. Actually, no he probably wouldn't admit that, but I will go ahead and speak on behalf of Nebraska and say that yes, our Head Coach is still young in this process.

We seem to pick a game every year to not show up to, and it always seems to be at home in front of our own damn crowd :L. Yet Pelini manages to keep posting 10 win seasons, which as a fan you have to feel good about.

But I admit, there are issues right now with Coach Pelini getting our team up for games here and there. The focus seems to just be off at times. I think he will learn, and he has a lot of maturing to do as a coach still. At least I am hoping that is the case.

Pelini never gets outcoached in the 2nd half, especially on defense.

I'm sure he is referring to the Big 12 Title game against Texas.......and last year's game against A&M.

To Pelini's defense, last year's game against A&M was just ridiculous. You know it's bad when even the commentators are stating "this is the worst officiating I've ever seen in my entire lifetime of watching college football." Pelini overreacted of course, but that game was ridiculous.

As for the Texas game, Pelini apologized the next day and said that 1 second definitely did appear to remain in the game. At the time, it was a shocking call to put 1 second back on the clock for all of us.........because it was the first time that it had ever happened in the history of football at that point.

It was also somewhat controversial due to one of the rules stating something about not being able to add time back on........which I don't remember all of that, but once upon a time someone had posted that rule online.

No, it wasn't the first time it had happened.

It happened FOR Nebraska against Florida State

You guys kill me with all the hyperbole. Also, if you watch the replays, NO official had signaled the game was over.

Trust me man, I'm not even one of the guys who was complaining about it after the game. You can ask TM, I was on here stating that there definitely should have been 1 second on the clock, regardless of what the rules state.

What I was saying is that it was the first time that they used camera to review and overturn the clock after the game had already ended.

The Nebraska/FSU game they made the decision right there on the spot. It took them 5 seconds to get together and say "no, when the whistle was blown, I had 1 second on my clock."

The ref on the field in the Texas game actually said he had 0 on his clock. So they used the camera reviews to watch the scoreboard clock instead.

Wow. The sad part is I see a Husker fan post this same thing nearly every year after they shut down some scrub team......and we always end up right where we are now, all laughing at the sheer stupidity of the OP
