Was reading how Rangers have recently have changed their philosophy re hitters. They want more tools guys who make contact better like Jung and Solak as opposed from these long swings prone to SO. This is how the FO evolving

It seems like every few months we hear how they have changed philosophies or evaluation methods. Constant change is not helping us at all.

They brought new analytics guys in at all levels end of last season. Don't see how this qualifies as constant change. They have generally drafted huge athletic upside guys and more upside HS pitchers. Just an opinion

Between mismanagement of the roster, mismanagement of playing time, and injuries to Burke and Hearn, this is turning into a mostly wasted season. It is not a waste entirely, but we should have found out a lot more about several more guys than we have.

I dont think we know for sure yet but I see the writing on the wall. We are about to see quite a few young guys get looks and the older guys will be gone. Pence probably traded. and Cabrera DFA'd

I would like to see him given the opportunity to play just about every day before I say he can't hit. I expected his offense to suffer this season with Mathis getting do much playing time.

Opposing pitcher hasn't pitched from the stretch not once tonight and we are in the 7th inning. 9 strikeouts. Offense lots of times is contagious when guys are ding well, others usually feed int it. Obviously the lack of offense is contagious too

Now who would that be that we don't know or did not get opportunity to develop. NOw I think perhaps more development could have happened at the AAA level. If that is what you are referring to I can't argue with it but there is still more season to burn

Since Odor can not hit a strike, give him a chance and see if he can throw one.
