The trade is looking good now. It just took awhile. Calhoun deserves a lot of credit for developing a positive attitude and getting into shape.

I agree. And he is not the typical ball player in regards to his body proportion but he seems to have a quick bat and some good instincts. This guy may turn out to be a gem.

What is going on with this starting pitching staff is nothing short of a miracle. Minor has been unbelievable and Lynn not too far behind then you add Jurado, Sampson and now Chavez and the results are really surprising.

That was one of JD's trades that I was satisfied with. Calhoun had a good reputation and Alexy was an interesting prospect. Granted, I wanted more, but it was hard to be dissatisfied with the trade based on how YU had been pitching.

Ha you opened the door but not totally a tangent. GM has flaws but IMO best GM we ever have had.

Some moves work and some don’t. Bench signings have been golden. The TJS bunch not so much

The conversation was about something totally different. I could have a conversation about all of JD's mistakes and about what he has done right, but that was not the conversation you got in on the tail end of. Then you took a different direction entirely. The conversation was originally about why the second half of 2015 was on par with this first half and why I felt Crawler couldn't see it.

Lol, but when you saw something I said negatively about J D you just couldn't help thinking you had to rush to his defense.

By the way, with what he had to work with, it is hard to beat the job Grieve did here as GM. Some would argue the same about Melvin. Had JD been replaced about 7 years ago then he might have been in the conversation as being our best ever, even with his terrible mistakes early on. He has had 7 more years to tarnish that image though.
