Loved my one and to date, only trip to NM.

Weather is interesting for sure...one side of the Sandia Mountains is green and somewhat lush for high desert...the other side dry. Paako Ridge golf course was outstanding...teeing off at 7,000' altitude was awesome.

Yes and further east you have the White Sands National Monument and Carlsbad Caverns. It's a great walk to walk down to the bottom of the cave

In 1964 I was hauling livestock for a company out of Colorado. My first time in NM I drove in at night, and the sun came up as I was passing through Sante Fe. I've been in love with NM ever since.
