Different time. Different market.

The Yankees ripped off several teams who were trying to compete, but probably shouldn’t have been.

I just don’t see the rangers getting the kinds of returns for minor, pence, and company that we probably should. The trade deadline screams buyers market this year. The Yankees acquired Edwin Encarnacion for basically nothing.

You shouldn't base what you think the market will be off of that one trade. Encarnacion was hitting .241 and is due a lot of money. It was a salary dump. None of the guys we could have traded would be in that category. Our highest paid guy is hitting well and we can afford to throw in money. With no one running away with the last WC birth that screams of a seller's market

Maybe Choo fits in this category but yes certainly not Minor. Lynn looks like a bargain right now as well

I wouldn't put Choo there because he is a much better hitter this year and also because we can afford to throw in some cash.

I think even if we were sellers we would be tempted to keep Lynn because of that third year.
