Maybe Springs, as poor as he's been, still better than Miller or Smyly, or continue using them in tandem with one another, first sign of trouble, try the next guy, i dunno, none of them are ideal, at least Sampson and Jurado are holding things down for now

Pretty much the situation and not too bad considering we don't know if we're buying or selling. Time will tell.

I am not saying we will buy a long term pitcher and give up prospects to do so. I just wouldn't be surprised if we did. Like the Hamels move it would be defended as being long term, but like the Hamels trade it could very well be a mistake.

If Eickof gave up 5 homers the board would be demanding a DFA and this is the doomed NL league. Maybe he deserves another chance. Ha
I do like Alfaro though. Santana may be better than Nick.
