Apparently Wade only has 1 D1 offer and I believe it was from Nebraska (as well as a few other schools interested), but none of the heavy heads like Ky, Duke, NC, etc..

Good lord. Middleton's probably going to make a contract between $22-$30 mil per year, yet you think he's going to sacrifice to stay in Milwaukee to make $5 mil per year?

You're unbearably naive.
Who said anything about 5M? Are you stupid enough as to invent things that no one ever said and put them in their mouth?

The Bucks have plenty of cap space as to extend and resign Middleton if his new salary won't exceed smth near to 20M for next season, it's if he demands more than that they'll then consider to part with him, or "help" him via a "sign and trade" to his prefer destination, or sign him for more and consider trading him after Dec the 15th...

The Bucks F.O. has done a tremendous job as to create tons of cap space so that they can resign everybody for next season and never pay a single penny in lux tax... But what they want to do is to improve the team further for next season and then to have more cap space, so that they can resign Giannis the season after.

From your very own words -
"They will, because if they get CP3 and Capella's bird rights that come with his contract,
they'll be able to sign Middleton under an MLE.
"

That's where I come up with $5 mil. Because that's how much the MLE is.

I'm curious as to where all of this cap space is going to come from. As of right now, you have $107 mil tied up into next season's roster. Of that money, $13 mil is from Middleton who has a player option and at this juncture, fair to say he's going to opt out to sign for somewhere probably around $25 mil (it's todays NBA market, and he's going to cash in). This doesn't even account for Mirotic and Lopez being re-signed.

Your team doesn't need to vastly improve. From this point forward, Milwaukee will get a title depending on if Giannis expands his game. They don't need to couple another all-star with him.

If they trade for CP3 and Capella, they won't have space to sign Middleton.

That's with the old CBA. The new one has the buck-alice magic cap space option. It's why they will also be able to trade Snell for PG.

It's you that is the idiot... of course they have the cap to add Kyrie or Kemba out of free agency... They can get an MLE for one of them if they keep Davis.

:pound:

Now Kemba or Kyrie are going to sign for an MLE.

I'm not sure you have a clue on the matter...

They only two contracts they have under cap space are Hill and Moore who both are expiring this season (therefore easy to move for salary fillers) and they bought 4x2nd round picks (2 really good ones out of the Wizzards and another 2 that were Bucks own) from the Bucks, so that they can dump their salaries and move them this season and buy back more exceptions.

Additionally they have another 3.5M of trade exception out of Mirotic they can use to extend their cap space and the exception to extend and resign Randle...

All they have to do is take care of the sequence of their moves and they'll pay no or very little tax this season...

In fact I suggested Kemba or Kyrie because this is all we knew that is available out free agency this season and because they need an experienced PG to add next to Holiday, Zion, Randle and Davis. They may be better off if they look to buy CP3 or other option that may come up this season, combine it with dumping the salaries of Hill and Moore and they'll not pay a penny of lux tax before they hit 132M of salaries in their books.

:laugh3: All I can do is laugh and point at this point.

So... you call people naive although they don't need more than 5M of MLE (despite what Middleton's salary could be) since they only have Mosgov's, Fournier's and Augustin's contracts under cap space and in my suggestion they move Mozgov's and Fournier's contracts and get back the exceptions that come with CP3 and Capela... right?

Who is naive now?

Bucks have 104M in their books (107.5M - 3.5M of Teletovic = 104M) but that includes 18M of Hill (who only has 1M guaranteed next season) and 13M of Middleton. They'll also be move Snell's contract (another 12M) which they don't need anymore this season.

Your team doesn't need to vastly improve. From this point forward, Milwaukee will get a title depending on if Giannis expands his game. They don't need to couple another all-star with him.

The Bucks need to add a No2 next to Giannis as to be contending for the title... especially since after this 200+ players free agency coming up which is expected to strengthen up significantly their competitors.

Idiot! I never said they'll sign for an MLE... I said that the MLE that comes with them is all the Pels need.

Cmon man.

The Celtics had the same team + Kyrie and Hayward. They might have played worse, but they were far more talented. As was every other team you mentioned.

And the Cavs weren't that good.

What is the endgame? How is a team more talented if they can't utilize that talent to win games?

The fuck are you talking about?

Did you not pay attention where the $13 mil tied up by Middleton is a player option. Best believe that he's going to opt out and get a bigger pay day. Teams aren't lining up to take Snell's contract either. You can't just dump his contract onto another team. And George Hill's contract only takes up $1 mil of your cap space so long as he's waived before July 2nd. If he's not waived, he'll account for $18 mil. And again, if you math it right, you're still not going to have enough to add a top tier FA.

Because talent doesn't always equate to team success. The original discussion was are the Celtics talented? Yes they are. It just so happens that Kyrie's the rare case where you add an all-star to the mix, it makes other players around him worst.

One example, in 2011 Miami had the more talented roster than that of the Mavericks. However, the Mavs were a better team and thus won the title.

Make $30 mil per year in New York or $5 mil per year in Milwaukee? Decisions.

Well, to be fair, with the state taxes in New York, he probably would only have about $5 million left. :dhd:

Wisconsin top income tax: 7.65%
New York top income tax: 8.82%

Your statement would be more accurate if you were talking about California: 13.3% (far and away the highest). NY is actually lower than California, Hawaii, New Jersey, Oregon, Minnesota, Iowa, Vermont & Washington DC.

Thankfully I've lived in Washington, Texas and Florida.....all of which don't have state taxes.

Never paid a dime in state taxes. Winning.

Way to take a joke seriously.

Thought the :dhd: would have been a dead giveaway.
