I’ve tried to be patient, but I gotta say after the game yesterday, I’m not a huge fan of the IKF at catcher experiment. His bat has also been non-existent this year.

Definitely need an upgrade at catcher.

Catcher is very tough position to pick up. To have a top hitting catcher with great defensive skills is a luxury. To me if he can learn to catch, call games, work with pitchers to keep them cool and still stand up to the challenge when needed is primary need for a catcher.
Not sure he will get there but if he does hit tool will probably be ok. Not giving the vote of confidence but he probably has a couple years to see if he does

16 K's was the biggest problem not IKF all tho he needs to improve. Only one year as MLB catcher is not bad but he must get better.

I’m thinking there will have to be an intervention at some point. Either he goes down to the minors, we try someone else there as the everyday starter, or we bring in a free agent in the offseason.

I’ll gladly admit I’m wrong if he turns it around, but I just don’t see it happening. He only seems to get hits off pitchers who typically play for the royals.

Where is he compared to IKF

He is a power hitting catcher. I haven't heard any detailed reports about his defense, but he has been a catcher all along. He was promoted from low A ball to High A about 3 weeks ago or so.
