Roy and Buck were great musicians, really it's a shame they're mostly remembered for Hee Haw.

Minnie Pearl has always turned me on though.
OH YEAH!!!
I would rock Minnie so hard the tag would finally fall off of her hat...

Damn...Jerry Reed was a badass mofo!!

Back when he first came out, he had his own tuning and style of finger picked that nobody could figure out. He called it a cross between Merle Travis(another guitar pioneer that doesn't get near enough credit, and the original writer and performer of 16 Tons)'s guitar and Ray Charles's piano.

Probably because I'm from Georgia, but "Atlanta" is their most common song played on the local stations here.
They played that a lot when i still lived near Charlotte. Radio stations suck, they play the same songs all the time and ignore better stuff by the artists

He can't sing but the boy sure can play

I disagree with the “can’t sing” bit, but that motherfucker plays the guitar like an animal. Never with a pick, and that’s part of his distinctive sound.

I think Knopfler's vocal performance on "Telegraph Road" is breathtaking..."Romeo And Juliet" is also quite good.

Agreed.

I'm not suggesting that he's one of the best singers or anything, but he's definitely proficient. I love the song Your Latest Trick. Hell, I love that whole album.
