my first love was the doomsday defense. I thought that was so cool. My mom found a white football jersey with #20. My grandmother sewed a blue star on the shoulders. Wore that for darn near three seasons.

I could talk all day at 10 years old about Lilly, Jordon, Howley and Green BUT to me. Mel Renfro was the stud of studs.

As a big fan of the Beverly Hillbillies I liked Jethro Pugh. But Randy White would’ve been my favourite cowboy until recently. My favourite player of all time is Lawrence Taylor. Part of the reason I like Micah Parsons so much.

I was an NFL virgin until the Ice Bowl. We were a two TV channel town, all off antenna and none were US channels. But when I watched that game the name, Jethro jumped out at me. He wasn’t the best Poke but I loved his name. Bob Hayes also became a favourite.
