But they probably did more homework and, no offense, don't care what guys who have never worked in the NFL think.

No way you can properly grade a QB without talking to him and watching film WITH him.
Oh of course. I was never saying my opinion should matter to them. I'm just saying my opinion of him is what's driving my posts about it.

But just to go by an "expert's opinion". I really like Joe Klatt, I mean I don't agree with everything but he seems to know how to evaluate QB's and he did it last year. He had Daniel Jones rated as his 8th best QB...8th. I mean I could see if he was his 4th rated but that is a huge stretch. Now I am not saying Klatt gets everything right, just saying this was a reach.

I think the Giants reached on all their picks honestly. They traded up for a CB in a draft where CB's were deep and not one CB had been picked AND there are no clear cut CB's that actually stand out. I've looked at about 20 experts opinions and all had a different order of CB's ranked. I think just overall the New York Giants did a poor job. I'm not saying Lawrence and Baker can't be good players I just think part of being a great or even good GM and drafting is picking your spots, knowing when and where to trade, etc.

The Philly GM for example did a great job trading up for Dillard, right in front of Houston, which imo would have grabbed Dillard without a doubt.

Fair enough, but you must know without talking to a QB and watching film with him the best you can do is guess. And even then it's still tough to judge QBs. Even the best of the best GMs miss on QBs all the time.

All excellent points. My only counter is we have no clue what the boards of other teams look like. And certainly the so-called "experts", most of which who have never run a real draft, don't have a clue.

And the guys who get paid to make the picks don't care what anyone else thinks. Not possible the so-called "experts" got it wrong and the real experts could be right?

As a fan of Haskins, I hope Gettleman failed.

We don't know other teams boards. The only rumors I heard about Jones was those rumors about the Giants getting him so we can only go on what we hear until it's all said and done.

Yeah I would rather Haskins not be in N.Y. Washington has some connection to Haskins with the 49ers-Ryan Day so that could work. I think he might be rushed into the starting job though and they need more weapons for him.

Shefter said the Giants first two ranked QB's were:

1a. Daniel Jones
1b. Drew Lock

So yes they definitely could have waited considering Lock is still OTB and they had those guys being basically neck and neck lolzz

100% and if I'm wrong I'll eat crow, but I feel very strongly that I will not.

The Cardinals organization is at fault here 100%. Poor way of handling this.
That can be true and him acting like a high school girl is embarrassing

Wingo said that's the first time ever the Pats took a WR in the 1st.

I guess Terry Glenn never existed.
