Being shocked by this Ranger team continues. My wife and I were out with our 4 year old grandson and when I had a moment I looked at my phone and we were up 6-0. Nice surprise.

Gotta give woodward credit.

He pulled Sampson in the 5th inning and the move worked. The Astros already had 2 runs and they were hungry for more. What happened with Cabrera was bad luck, it should’ve been a double play, but Shawn Kelley ended their best scoring chance.


I’m sure nobody on this board thinks the team would be doing nearly as good with the prior manager in place.

Woodward seems to know you can be in rebuild and still manage a game properly. Banny like his predecessor left guys in too long thinking they were saving the pen.

The rangers seem smitten by Little Roogie. He’s not going anywhere I’m afraid.

Not for awhile he's got this year and 3 more left on his contract. I suppose you could trade him but what are you going to get knowing his history of ups and downs and what all is left on his contract. Besides there doesn't seem to be anybody in the Minors ready to come up and take his place.

Santana is hot right now and would be a good player to keep around but once the streak cools off he's just like Rougie in that he's not going to make his at bats useful he doesn't walk much either.
