Then at least give me a god damn sarcasm font on this board. JFC. Lighten up folks.

I’ll break bread with any of you as a Husker fan.

Well except @Tomhusker he’s a Jaysker.

One of these days I will have a meltdown on here just simply because of how serious people take it.

Anonymously

Also just doing my part for a conference championship

If you go by the definition of what a Jaysker is, you would see that I am nothing of the sort. A Jaysker is a Nebraska football fan in the fall who roots against all the other Nebraska sports teams. I support them all. I may not watch them all, but I support them.

But that's fine. You probably serve that cheap ass store brand bread anyway.

just start your own sarcasm font and people will catch on eventually. on another forum i use for work, they just started using red font as sarcasm. i think it died out though as i don't see it as often.

Times new roman would be a good sarcasm font. no one should trust anyone using this font. maybe pink for extra effect. who could take anything serious in pink font?

Here, roughed this together in like 30 minutes. still needs lots of work. i literally have no experience with photo editing software and need to figure out how to outline people better and make smoother transitions. I wanted Cook layered under the Huskers but layered in the wrong order and too tired to fix now since it needs a lot more work anyway.

The "Huskerhoopla.com" doesn't work anymore, so i assumed that could be taken off. Was debating putting the N (at an angle like we have now) out in front of AM and putting NEBRASKA across the bottom to fill that blank space.

Thoughts?

:bored2:, i didn't see a single comment. was it that bad? Does anyone even have the power to switch this out if it gets made? I don't really want to put in serious effort unless it can actually get done and it's what people want.

Well I (and I assume others) was raised to not criticize the efforts of someone where I myself was not putting effort into said task.

However, since you asked..... I think it should just be left to football.
I'm certainly proud of the volleyball team and their accomplishments, but the only time I ever watch them is when they're in the tournament. Unless you're an avid women's volleyball fan (1 in 50,000 at best nationally), nobody outside of Nebraska knows who John Cook is. Maybe 1 in 100 Nebraska residents even knows who John Cook is. My 14 year old boy and 15 year old girl would look at me confused if I asked them who John Cook is out of the blue. They both know who Scott Frost is, even though he played before they were born.
I watch some basketball but lose interest when they suck (which is regularly). I admit I was supportive of it when sMiles was put on our banner, but looking back it was stupid to put someone up there who'd never accomplished anything here.

Nebraska is a football school with great football history and traditions. I watch EVERY football game from beginning to end regardless of suckage. Ask dang near any Nebraska kid who Johnny Rodgers is and they can tell you. I would keep it to football and to those who've earned their way into the history books. Bob Devaney, Tom Osborne, Scott Frost, Tommie Frazier, Mike Rozier, Ndomukong Suh, etc.

Adrian Martinez hasn't accomplished shit yet. He has not earned his way to the banner. In 2 years (if he still hasn't accomplished shit) we'll be wondering why he was put on our banner and looking to make another. For all we know, he could be riding the pine in 2020.

Again. I would keep it to previous football coaches, Heisman winners, Football National Championship winners, famous Blackshirts, the Memorial Stadium, etc.

You want good banners, check out Oklahoma, Ohio St, Penn St, Alabama, Notre Dame. Those banners are historical and show why they are of the Top 10 winningest programs of all time.

For you guys, I’ll break out the brat buns leftover from last fall. I’ll tear off the mold spots for you at least.

You’re welcome

i have no issues leaving off Cook and AM and going old school.

now if someone answers if i put in the work the banner would actually get changed, that would be great.

I'll do what I can to get it put up if you put in the efforts, sir. There are a couple of Admins that can do it.

If I remember correctly the banner has to be a certain size. I don't remember the specifics.
