I don't really watch much hockey but this is great! Prematurely, assuming Columbus does win and say they sweep Tampa this would be one of the biggest upsets in NHL history especially if they swept them pretty much dominating?

I wouldn't say it's as big an upset as people are saying. The Jackets were 3 wins away from taking first in the Metro (and they gave up two wins to fucking Edmonton). It's not like if a team that had all kinds of issues all year and snuck in was doing this. I mean, yes, Tampa was historically good this year, but save for an ill-timed slump the Jackets were not "bad".

The difference was noted by a Chicago writer who said the Jackets have been playing Playoff hockey for 3 weeks, while the Lightning have been cruising for 2 months.

I don't think it's wrong to colour this as a massive upset. Like you said, TB's season was historically good. They had the highest point total in the lockout era.

...which should've been a dead fucking giveaway that they would totally blow this shit. Forget about the President's Trophy curse, the two best seasons in the lockout era after TB's was the 05-06 Wings and the 09-10 Caps. Both lost in the first round lol.

Columbus played the longest game and won. If last year is any indication, the winner of the Leafs-Bruins series is going to be so drained physically and emotionally once they're done shithousing each other to death that this series winner should make light work of them. It was all strategic to get the 8 seed and take advantage. Well played.

This! In game 3 it was like Kucherov was invisible out there!

I saw Stamkos sneak a gloved punch into the face of Foligno last night. That's his only contribution thus far in the series.

In his last 14 playoff games, Nikita Kucherov has 2 goals and is -10.

Meanwhile, the CBJ points list is led by Duchene, Panarin, Werenski, and Atkinson. The teams best players showing up.

I'm more reacting to the mindset (fortunately not here) that the Jackets don't deserve to share the ice with such greatness. We're a good fucking team. And it's coming together at the right time.

10 different goal scorers of the 12 goals scored so far.

Victor still having trouble with his Hed, man.

Dubinsky and Nutivaara skated with the team today. McQuaid and Murray also.

Is Stralman hurt?

Yes, was listed as day to day at the start of the series. I assume he is still banged up if Coburn drew in when Hedman went out last game.
