Factors in who you are playing as well(I assume). If the team you are playing on the field is a powder puff on the field, no matter how great the environment is at the beginning of the game it won’t be at the end.Whoever wrote this article is a dumbass.
LSU definitely depends on the game. If we are talking big games, then yes. Non conference game vs a garbage team, because that’s the only home non-conference games we like to play, it is awful.Yeah, it's dumb because bigger program teams play mostly easier games at home. You don't travel to play Kent St, they come to your place. So teams always have an inflated home record anyway.
Alabama mostly plays neutral site games lately, so harder games aren't being played there as frequently(not that it would matter since the last time Alabama lost one was like 2007). But those kinds of things contribute.
The truth is Bryant Denny has seating that is at a pretty low angle compared to most places in the lower bowl, and they are also much further away from the field. Auburn student section is crazy loud and Tennessee has a potential to be at times because they are closer to the field and the angle is a little steeper.
You can visually see the differences. I really can't think of a time when the crowd made a difference.

And LSU even though it personally seems over-rated to me in terms of loudness, but I could see where they could be the most obnoxious/hostile.

Since you're an Alabama fan, I'm puzzled by this.
For some strange reason southern teams prefer to play at NFL stadiums and NASCAR tracks.
Florida State, LSU to open in New Orleans in 2022, Orlando in 2023Yeah, but not in Florida.
USF plays at an NFL Stadium. The Phins and Miami have always shared The Orange Bowl and then Joe Robbie.
Doak Campbell isn't an NFL Stadium. Florida Field isn't an NFL Stadium. The Gator Bowl has quite a unique twist
to it. It has a capacity of 69K for the NFL but for College Games they pull those tarps off in the Southern End Zone and
the stadium's capacity rises to 84K for College games.
College Football is King down here.
Why? Because he’s thinking objectively instead of being a homer?

Looking at the Alabama field, it's obvious that this is way before game time. Alabama does play big time games at home. LSU and Auburn are tough opponents.
Yeah baby. Everyone knows the Sun Bowl is the most difficult place to play. I mean, look at this intimidating venue.Whoever wrote this article is a dumbass.
Puzzled by what? It's just the truth.
It doesn't matter that it's before game time. The point was how far away from the field the stands start and the lower angle they have.
And it's not like Alabama is Miss St or something like that, it's just no where near #1.
While college football is a big deal here as well, I'm going to say high school football is King in Texas...but that is just my opinion.College Football is King down here.
Considering that in Tx some high schools have bigger capacity stadiums than some small colleges there is some truth to this. While college football is a big deal here as well, I'm going to say high school football is King in Texas...but that is just my opinion.
I know we have Texas, A&M and that monolith that is JJ's Cowgirls, but I'm still going with high school football as King.
3. Ohio State, Ohio Stadium
JMO, but I think it has more to do with the fans than the stadium. Look at Texas AM. The only time and place I saw them play was the Cotton Bowl in 1988. The Cotton Bowl was outdated then, but the AM sure made a ruckus. At Kyle Field, they're deadly. Oklahoma and Texas at the Cotton Bowl is almost always a riotous atmosphere, and the place is really outdated.
I have no use for texas a&m, in any regard, but Kyle field is hell to play a night game at.
The OU-TX game being played at the cotton bowl really skews the home stats for OU. The only time i remember Norman being an intimidating venue was the Texas Tech game in 08. Bob Stoops went as far as to tell the blue hair crowd to give the their tickets to the grandkids so we could get noise.
Now texas gets their ass kicked in Austin all the time so that is a nonstarter.
