I think any of these places would be tough to play for opponents, especially night games. I've penciled the Nebraska game for the Buckeyes being the tough matchup because I believe that is a night game on the road in Lincoln. That will be tough regardless what the Huskers record is going into that game. That student section will all be drank off that homemade corn oil they drink out there.

Oh the irony.

Oh so that is why you are up so early? Got to get those creases in as many shirts as possible before it gets too hot. Boy I bet you hate season change especially Summer.

Go Cavilers.

Same rules apply at LSU at baseball and football games. Think it’s a waste of money to pay 20 bucks for 2 beers and have to watch the game on a tv instead of seeing it live, but that’s just me.

Getting drunk at the game is half the fun.

Not for 20 bucks for 2 beers isolated away from my seat. Pay too much for tickets to waste more money and not watch the game from my seat. But to each his own.

It's definitely a waste of money, but I always end up doing it.

I usually go to those sections and chug as fast as I can during halftime or between quarters. Normally I can do it quickly enough not to miss any of the action.

Playing a night game at LSU is the toughest venue I've ever been to.

Bryant Denny isn't even in the top 5 of the SEC as toughest places to play:

1. LSU
2. Florida
3. Tennessee (although it has gotten a lot easier)
4. Auburn
5. Georgia
6. Alabama

Note: I haven't been to aTm, Mizzou, KY or Arkansas

In the ACC I would say FSU and Clemson are pretty close but I haven't been to a FSU game in Tallahassee in 20 years.

I've been to LSU, Florduh, Auburn and Bama, haven't been to Tennessee. Been to Athens for a gameday but didn't go to a game. All were nights games except Auburn and I agree. Both those LSU and Florduh night games and crowds are intimidating. I would have 1. LSU 2. Florida as well.

I have been to games in 9 of the 10 ten. Big games too. Tiger Stadium absolutely rocked in the 1982 FSU (Orange Bowl Game) and 1983 vs. Washington (Fire Marshall Game), and Bryant-Denny was full of the Holy Spirit for the 2005 Florida Game.

All of the other games and stadiums were good and exciting (1991 FSU @ Michigan, 1992 USC @ Washington and 1996 Tenn @ UGA come to mind), but none of the other Top 10 have reached a fever pitch while I was there like those 3 games I mentioned.

The list looks as if the writer just picked the best teams over the last few years and put them in the list. No real thought given to the actual venues, atmosphere, etc...

I actually don't have a problem with the Top 10. I don't think Nebraska's Memorial Stadium should be on the Honorable Mention list over Iowa's Kinnick Stadium.

2018 - Iowa went 5-2 at Kinnick Stadium. They lost to rival Wisconsin and B1G West Champ Northwestern.
Combined scores in Ws vs P5 - Iowa 67-31
Combined scores in Ls - Opp 42-27
2017 - Iowa 5-2 at Kinnick Stadium. They lost by 2 to Penn State (#8 in final AP Poll) and Purdue. They did dominate Ohio State (B1G Champ and #5 in final AP Poll).
Combined scores in Ws vs P5 - Iowa 117-50
Combined score in Ls - Opp 45-34

2016 - Iowa went 4-3 at Kinnick Stadium. Upset by NDSU by 2, Northwestern by 7, and B1G West Champs Wisconsin (#9 in final AP Poll) by 8. Did beat Michigan (#10 in final AP Poll).

Combined scores in Ws vs P5 - Iowa 159-68
Combined scores in Ls - Opp 78-61

2015 - Iowa went 7-0 at Kinnick Stadium. No big game at home

Combined scores in Ws vs P5 - 167-114
In last 4 years, Iowa went 21-7 at Kinnick Stadium with Ws vs 2 Top 10 teams (final AP poll).

2018 - Nebraska went 4-3 at Memorial Stadium. Losses to Colorado, Troy, and Purdue. They beat Minnesota, Bethune-Cookman, Illinois, and Michigan State.

2017 - Nebraska went 2-5 at Memorial Stadium. They lost to Northern Illinois by 4, Wisconsin (#6 in final poll) by 21, Ohio State (B1G Champ and #5 in final AP Poll) by 42. And Iowa by 42. They did beat Arkansas State and Rutgers.

2016 - Nebraska went 7-0 at Memorial Stadium. Minnesota was the only team they faced at home who won more than 8 games, they won 9.

2015 - Nebraska went 3-4 at Memorial Stadium. L to BYU, L to Wisconsin (#21 in final AP Poll), Northwestern, and Iowa (finished #9 in final AP Poll). Did beat Michigan State (#6 in final AP Poll), South Alabama, and Southern Miss.
In last 4 years, Nebraska went 15-12 at Memorial Stadium with 1 win over a Top 10 team.

I get they have Frost and big things are expected. But they have Ohio State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Iowa at home. Yes, they had Nice Guy Riley for those years and they sucked. That is why they should not be on the honorable mention list when they won 56% over the last 4 seasons. I wouldn't consider Iowa's 75% home winning % that good.

And you hear about players not liking the fans right there on the sidelines at Kinnick. You had that one coach (not mentioning any names :harbs3:) who tried to redecorate the pink locker room. Iowa doesn't lose by more than one score very often.

New technology is more accurate ;) and that was when you had the track around the field.
The stands in the old stadium seemed like they were a mile away from the field due to the infield track.

That is his point...the fact that Husky's stadium hasn't been measured louder since the renovation points to technical issues with the 92 measurements.

It points to the invention of the smartphone along with a bunch of California techie transplants. Back in my day sneaking in booze and yelling your head off until your lungs gave out was the norm. That was before the invention of the internet and transgenderism. They don't make fans like they used to.

In this day, stadium expansions are massive wastes of cash. The most intelligent thing to do is make the game day experience at the game more exclusive and special. A prime example is Alabama is doing a renovation and taking seats out. Why? To make bigger video screens and finding a way to make people want to be there even for the garbage games.

I've been saying for years I'd rather watch the games on TV than be there in person because you get a better experience of the game in general and people think I'm crazy. You can tell me all about the atmosphere and such, and I get it that people like that, go enjoy yourself and take it all in. And I'm sure you can see some things that aren't on camera.

But I've been to plenty of NFL games to know the deal. Most of the times you don't get a really good view of things. 50 yard line tickets are supposed to be good, but I thought they sucked. It was nice when they were in the middle of the field, and they probably do spend more of the entire game there, but when it came to scoring all I saw were their backs. Top of the lower half is where it's at, and I'll take my chances around the 10-20 on one side.

On TV I get soo much more. Pylon cams, replays, good views of the plays, etc. And the only way you get that at the game is..on the jumbotron, aka TV. TV is like having the best 100 seats in the house at the same time.

And the TV is free or if you are like me, $40 a month. $10 a game is still a great deal.

Pretty awesome place overlooking Puget Sound. I've seen the old stadium back in the early 90s. Good party school at UDub.
