Zooky
I make chunk plays.

I'm not sure how this format works, but it's not a lose and go home event which helps keep the big names around for the weekend I guess.
Wednesday through Friday is round robin play in each 4-man pod. You have 16 pod winners at end of Friday. Then then play matches Saturday morning (winner advances) to get to 8...and then matches in afternoon (winner advances to get to 4). Sunday morning are the semifinal matches and Sunday afternoon are the championship and consolation matches.
Thanks!
I did watch some yesterday with the volume up for a change, and kinda got the format down a little...given that everyone in the pod plays each other it's possible to have 2 guys go 2-1 I'm thinking hth would decide who wins the pod in that case?
Yes.Head to Head?
Thanks!

No...it's a sudden death stroke play playoff between the tied players that starts on the first hole and goes on until there's a winner.
Oh...so it's possible you might need to beat the same player twice to get out of your pod...that's a bit quirky to me, but I'm just a fan.

Eh - it is just for entertainment purposes & viewers. It is not like this is a major so really should not be a big deal.
Yeah, that's a given even though it is a WGC event and carries all the same benefits as any other PGAT win, except it's a $10 mil + purse.
IMO, conceptually it's just a quirky way to settle a tie...it's almost as if the head to head win meant nothing. It's not a deal breaker or anything like that...I'm still going to watch a good bit of it.
Yea it should be one and done ..but they can't. If the big names get beat early,
The ratings go ......

.
If Casey and Howell both win today.
What’s the determination on who advances?
Well....Sunday's ratings will be in the tank. Tiger done.
