Here's a novel concept... Actually ENFORCE the rule as it is!

I can't tell you how many tournaments I have worked where players are NOT on the clock and we as hole captains are standing there waiting about 20 minutes in between each group

do a version of ready golf, if a player is looking for his ball, the other players should keep playing. Then give the guy that was looking for his ball so much time to finish the hole.

That's a great idea.

The latest thing with this straddle the line of the putt is a wonder...and then step forward and feel the ground with the feet then step forward about 4 or 5 times. WTF is that even telling you that you can't see?

Even the "fast" ones would play painfully slow in our groups.

I tried it, couldn't feel a difference.

The funny thing is, after the golfer does it a few times, then the caddie does it too.

Talk about slow. Yesterday there was a single on the first tee box, since we were a foursome, we let him play through. We skipped part of the second hole and jumped ahead of him. How in the fuck does young guy let a group of old fucks pass him?
