Montana played in a time when it was still legal to hit the QB and play defense. So I think Brady's longevity might have something to do with that (they actually changed the rules when Brady tore an ACL). It also didn't help that Joe played during 2 strike seasons...

If Jimmy's career is ruined by injury, then he's still probably better than Dak. But neither would ever win a SB in that scenario.

Dak is Alex Smith or a rich man's Andy Dalton. A worst-case scenario for a franchise QB because at least a s**t QB like Blake Bortles will soon be replaced, whereas a Dak will be just good enough to keep his job & never win it all.

i dont think so, juimmy has played like 10 games, and while he won his first five for san fran, his numbers were pedestrian in doing it
