Again you assume that they didn't want him and would discard him immediately. We don't know this if he played well he's still young enough to go places. I think for a fair price they were willing to find out otherwise why even try as it doesn't look good by him walking away for a backup job...
back up and successor for the saints? or possible starter for the phins..........easy choice

Think this is the Yahoo link your referring to.

Report: Teddy Bridgewater turns down bigger offer, chooses to stay in New Orleans

Take note of the word reportedly, and no details of a offer.

Also this was in that link:

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reported the Dolphins “were not big players” for Bridgewater)

You said he knew his stuff and got things right most of the time.

Also you'll never be able to show anyone a fair offer from the Dolphins and by show I mean the breakdown of $ amount and guarantees. I don't expect a apology from a over the top homer like yourself. You will just repeat some said it was reportedly bigger and by god they have it right, Never mind they don't seem to know actual figures the Dolphins front office assures them it was a lot...for backup like Bridgewater.

Yup the Saints deal was the right deal for Bridgewater.

i mean, i joined the party late. But @HaroldSeattle you are out of your mind sir. In armando we trust. Also if a member flat out states in a post he is wrong, the other party then does not understand and states that you are all over the place. Thats what ive learned today. So to recap
1) @HaroldSeattle is nuts
2) @SteelersPride is confused
3) In armando we trust
4)ignorance is bliss
5) being the succesory to brees is apparently worse than playing for miami

I don't care if it was Bridgewater or Peter Pan I don't need to speak to him to see someone miss an opportunity. I'm hearing that Miami offered more and he may have went for a few million more but he turtled and went back to his easy backup job. It's a bad look I'm sorry... I'm not even saying that he's great or anything but he could have proved himself and his stock moving forward.
Oh, forgive me. Didn't know "you were hearing".

I was hearing Friend of Dorsey knew Dorsey loved Josh Allen and he was the choice. Hope he can help the Browns.

Do you not think everyone knows this? NFL gms are that stupid to not understand this? At least he can show himself instead of hiding under a rock. Who knows maybe he blows the doors off setting himself up for something major. Behind brees no chance or very limited opportunity.
Just as likely Brees gets hurt and he blows doors off in NO then starts in Miami with garbage team and does the same.

I live my life in this manner I'm quite successful. I suggest you do the same don't ever pass up opportunities you may never see them again... just a word of advice take it or leave it. Don't ever be scared in your abilities... Bridgewater seems to be it's sad...
Bridgewater is an NFL QB. You could probably teach him to do what you do. No one can teach you to do what he does.

But you are pure comedy.

And you know for sure 100% that Bridgewater couldn't have turned his career around in Miami. Possibly winning the job like that hasn't happened before in the history of football. Miami may have changed their plan if he impressed but we'll never know now...
But you know for sure he could succeed on a terrible team where really no QB has had much success in years?

At worse he's a millionaire and has his health, at best he's the Saints starting QB next year. Lots of in between can happen. He sounds happy.
Sounds like you are suggesting TB knows what's best for him more than some guy on the internet he's never met?

say it ain't so.

Mr. Optimist..... I'd be willing to gamble on myself that I could show the league that I belong but that's just me I'm confident in my abilities. Compared to I'm scared that I'll suck and get hurt...
And you know all the ins and outs of being an NFL QB, too.

wait.....what?

You do realize that these jobs are limited to even be in that position is like winning the lottery right? I'm actually glad he turned it down with his attitude he has no chance... wish him luck.
For a guy who is "glad" you sure are crying a lot about it.

So I'm not allowed to give my point of view on a chat site? Wow....may as well shut this place down then. Let me guess in real life you would pass up a job that would not only pay you more but could springboard your career because you wanted to stay behind your boss in hopes that he may retire. With no guarantees of taking it over because someone else may step in later...great strategy.
How is your NFL career going? Did you ever give it a try? when did you give up?

Not beating anything I'm responding to comments being thrown my way. This is a chat site correct? I find as soon as someone may have a different opinion than some they believe you should bend over. I understand your point of view but I believe opportunity trumps what ifs. Sorry if it ruins your day....
You are the typical poster who cannot even see the other side even when it can refute your thoughts with logic, facts and reason.

He wasn't even in the conversation why? Because he sat last year and was injured before whereas Foles was damn lucky to be able to play two years in a row after being a backup. You need to play to get opportunities is my point exactly and he may not get that chance now. Who knows...
or he might get that chance. weird.

Nope I believe in myself and my abilities. So far it's worked out well. I had an opportunity 10 years ago that some passed up I took it even though I knew it would be a lot of hard work and its paid off in spades. If I took your approach I'd be a lot lighter in the pocket book that's for sure...but do whatever you wish with your life I wish you the best of luck waiting to see what happens. Do you guys realize how many billionaires went bankrupt before their success? They took chances and it paid off that's my point.
Did you earn $7 mil guaranteed if you passed up this opportunity?

asking for a friend.

My point was that Bridgewater was stupid for demanding so much. Opportunity is worth more than a few million. Just spoke to a Vikings friend of mine and he thought that after being out so long that he was stupid for not jumping on a starting position no matter the cost. Show well and he could have written his own check later...
Wow...another guy who has never spoken to TB who knows what TB needs to do with his career more than TB would.
