@FlyerFinFan listen to this sound pod cast.

They characterize the Dolphins efforts at signing Bridgewater and Taylor as half hearted. This is from your guy.
He's not my guy but he's a hell of a lot closer than you or I. He's usually right on facts but I don't agree with every one of his opinions. He said that the Fins made a fair offer and stuck to their guns which makes sense. Doesn't mean that they didn't try they just didn't want to overpay for a guy who hasn't played in a long time... I'm glad that they let him go.

They said it felt like a half hearted effort to sign Bridgewater. I agree, because the best way to rebuild is with a rookie QB that gives you all that cap space for years. No sense paying much for someone your planning to discard. Maybe not not even use, other then insurance.

They had a sound pod discussing Dolphins QB think they called effort to sign Bridgewater as half hearted.
Taylor didn't even get a meeting. Bridgewater did and received an offer. Take it for what it is but just because they didn't pay him like an average starter due to his recent past doesn't mean that they didn't try. Either way if I'm him I'm taking any deal over 7 M over rotting on the bench. I'm pretty confident that the offer was over ten by the sounds of things but whatever I don't need to persuade you guys to be rational.

OK so first of all you've argued all day that the Fins didn't make an offer.
Yup because it was obvious to me you had no clue about a offer. Yet you keep claiming it was fair.
Give me a copy and paste of this "fair " offer. I ask because you still haven't seen a fair offer from the Dolphins to Bridgewater. Don't want to hear there was a second and better offer unless you can give me the details.

Go!

Again you assume that they didn't want him and would discard him immediately. We don't know this if he played well he's still young enough to go places. I think for a fair price they were willing to find out otherwise why even try as it doesn't look good by him walking away for a backup job...

They said that if the Fins went 2 M more NO couldn't match. I guess in your world that means 5 M under NO to fit your argument. Enough already....

I'll wait until you get to a computer because I can't find a single fair offer from the Dolphins to Bridgewater. Did see one for two years 10 million, no mention of guaranteed money. Also read where there was a second offer but that the Dolphins held their ground and no details on what the offer was and if any guarantees came with it. Didn't see any thing that showed a fair offer.

In the sound pod Armando was crowing about how the Dolphin contracts offers were constructed such that they could dump any of them with little cap hits. You should take the time to listen to it. Educate yourself and quit being a over the top homer.

Sounds like you both agree it was a half hearted attempt.
Sounds like everyone believes he wasnt getting paid even avg. starter pay
Why would he go to a shit show for less than avg. money for a team that doesnt even show they really want him unless it comes at a discount. Right now it would sound insane to take a starting job on a shit show team for less than starter money.
Now I feel even stronger about Bridgewater taking the saints offer. At least he is paid well for the position they are asking him to play & they want him there.

Think this is the Yahoo link your referring to.

Report: Teddy Bridgewater turns down bigger offer, chooses to stay in New Orleans

Take note of the word reportedly, and no details of a offer.

Also this was in that link:

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reported the Dolphins “were not big players” for Bridgewater)

You said he knew his stuff and got things right most of the time.

Also you'll never be able to show anyone a fair offer from the Dolphins and by show I mean the breakdown of $ amount and guarantees. I don't expect a apology from a over the top homer like yourself. You will just repeat some said it was reportedly bigger and by god they have it right, Never mind they don't seem to know actual figures the Dolphins front office assures them it was a lot...for backup like Bridgewater.

Yup the Saints deal was the right deal for Bridgewater.

What are you talking about you are all over the place. First you BS and claimed that I said Miami had great Management. I never said that. I was rushed for time tonight but back everything I said in my posts about Miami. Yes players like Wilson, Drake, Stills, Grant, etc...have breakaway speed. There was plenty of examples on offence and ST look them up. It also affected the team when over ten guys went on IR they simply don't have the depth to handle that most teams don't. Probably one of the major reasons to retool. Just because players aren't household names doesn't make them scrubs. Was Conner a scrub for the steelers? Of course not but most people only know Bell. What do you not understand???
at this point the question is what dont you understand, its clear you are confused

He's a Miami reporter usually knows the facts. I don't always agree on his opinions but he's pretty spot on for details. Either way he's not going to lie about a contract offer and ruin his rep. Sorry but you guys have lost your minds it is what it is...
in the internet i trust eh
