That was great - watched the whole thing while I was in line at BJs. Forms looked solid and he was super active sparring - dominated! Is he a black belt already?Just a little Dad brag. My son Justus won 2 gold metals in his tournament yesterday. First was for poomsae (form), he worked on that form for 4 months to make it as nice as it could be. Second was for sparring. This one was a special one for me, as early in the first round of the gold medal match Justus took an inadvertent kick to the chin. He's been known to completely give up when hurt, but he swallowed it down and fought hard. Even had he lost, I would be so happy that he didn't fold and he fought through the pain.

Great stuff man. TKD is a hell of a martial art - did it for 5 years in my early 30s before I tore my Achilles. Wish I did it as a kid. Good luck to your boy I'll look for Justus in the 2030 Olympics!!Brown. He tests for tiggard (sp.) belt on Friday. Then its 4 months to red belt. 4 more to Poon. Finally, 4 more to black (honorary that becomes full when he turns 12). His goal is Olympics, so winning his first sparring tournament may help him put in the focus necessary to train for that lofty goal.

His master is a 3 time Korean national champion and competed in the Olympics in Athens. His master (who is now a grand master) was the Olympic champion that year (80kg). When Justus had just started, Grand Master Moon told him that he could go to the Olympics, an experience Justus has latched onto.
Should we put out missing posters for @Nosferatu
You can't have him...Damn Bethea
