He's releasing information about negotiations. They aren't rumors. Negotiations and discussions don't necessarily lead to deals.

I like Woj more than most of the alleged insiders, but let's be honest. We could do their job for the most part. They are not held accountable for anything and could make up reports if they wanted. Pretty sure they do.

Woj is reporting the Lakers first offer, as though anyone in the LA FO would tell him about players they offered to deal before they were dealt? And fans eat that up. He also reported (through unnamed sources, of course) that AD insisted he only be moved to LA. When Davis, himself, said this couldn't be further from the truth and he has never given a "list" of any kind.

Fair, but I could check NBA Trade Machine and not need a source to come up with these "reports".

What purpose would it serve a team to leak a player's name offered in trade who might end up remaining with the team?

Did anyone have the Kyrie to Boston deal? PG to OKC, then resigning with OKC? CP to Houston? Zingis to anyone....let alone Dallas? Never heard about any of the Cavs deadline deals last year before they went down.

All you did was prove there was no "moonwalking back" and I, in fact, was only talking about trade rumors when it came to doing his job. In addition, reporting on an agreed trade is not a rumor.
