Obviously I'm the only Pacers fan on this board, but I think most of us would say that we're happy for him, and wouldn't mind seeing him win a ring in OKC (even if it won't happen this year with GS superteam still intact) - Just as long as George knows that he's not welcome here anymore and that we'll continue to let him hear it that one time every year the Thunder visit the Fieldhouse.

For those that don't know by now: The beef among Pacers fans when it came to George didn't have so much to do with him wanting to leave - Players can do whatever they want when the become FA's, and everyone knows this - It was more to do with the fact that he thought by jumping into Kobe's magic shadow it would be the cure to all his ails, and not taking any sort of accountabilty for himself or him team's failures. Paul George loves Kobe like a girlfriend - This one is a fact. It was a fact during his childhood and well as during his entire seven-year tenure with the Pacers.

While history shows that Paul George would have never worked as the Pacers' franchise player long-term and that a separation was absolutely necessary for the benefit of both sides, most Pacers fans agree that he could have handled his exit on better terms. He was an extreme excuse-maker during his final season here and had essentially quit on his team.

That, and he's probably made more clutch shots this season than he's ever had during his seven years with the Pacers. So much for the theory that Westbrook makes everyone around him worse, huh?

Those of us that actually knew what we were talking about knew that when you're literally the only ball-handler on your team (as Russ was the previous two years before this one after Durant left) - You're going to put up big numbers, turnovers included. That's where the importance of Dennis Schroder comes in - He takes a burden of Russ and allows him to nurse any nagging injuries that tend to happen once you hit the wrong side of 30. The only downside is that neither player is a great shooter and that could be their downfall come playoff time.

Well if you weren't such a 5th grader and actually took time to read the post you'd know that it's not a rant at all.

So what is it? I read it over twice(more now) and it just basically looks like you want a pat on the back or something. Seriously, there was nothing in your post to even discuss. If you were me, or any other poster on here for that matter, what would your response been?

All you did was write yet another post on Paul George and say how you knew he was x, y and z.

This was just a rant. You could have avoided creating a brand new thread for this and just bring up an old thread about Paul George like you've started before. Basically everything you said in here was nothing new.

I know you call me the 5th grader, but it seems you're the one who needs to grow up. I didn't insult you at all here, but resort to name calling after I ask if there's any follow up question or actual basketball discussion to be had.

Seriously, you're the one who's avoiding actual basketball discussion by making inflammatory threads simply to gain a rise. We're getting immune to it here.

Where is your Anthony Davis rant thread?

Just a few months ago, you praised Davis for the way he "handled himself" during RFA contract negotiations when he could have left if he wanted to. Now, Davis has asked for a trade with a year and a half left on his deal AND he is attempting to force his way to LA.

Sound familiar?

Fact is, this is business as usual in the NBA.

'Cane,
Please, for the mercy of yours and everyone's sanity, never post about Paul George again. Really, nothing you can possibly post can ever help on the topic at this point. Even if he broke Wilt's 100 point game record, you could say nothing about George that wouldn't equate to shooting yourself in the foot. So, foot the love of all that is sacred to anyone, please just stop.

So we shouldn’t expect to see George traded back to Indiana by the deadline?

Well clearly you didn't read the post and are simply making pompous assumptions like you typically do.

Clearly it stated that "everyone knows that players could do whatever they want when they hit FA". The major difference was that George two years ago was an excuse maker. Davis isn't.

We're more than 50 games into the season and this was the first thread I've made about the Pacers, let alone George.

You're personal expectations about a given poster such as myself aren't my problem.

So, I'm not even sure what you mean here and if it is at all relevant.

You, as is known to all of the board, have a long history of hating and posting things Paul George that are driven by your bitterness and not facts. The history is so long and well established that even if you have turned over a new leaf and can be rational about him no one on the boards is going to take it as such. It is not just my personal expectations, it is the entire boards that your own history has brought upon the topic when you speak of George.

The bottom line especially for @tlance is that I would not hate on a player simply for demanding a trade. I didn't hate on Ron Arrest for demanding a trade and certainly wouldn't fault Oladipo if he were to do so next year at this time given that the Pacers have officially worked him into the ground.

I will believe that when I see it.

You have pretty consistently criticized just about every star who has asked to be traded since PG13 (Butler, Kawhi) Some like Butler have deserved it. Nobody really knows what happened with Kawhi.

In all honesty, anytime a star player asks to be traded because they aren't winning, that is basically a version of excuse making. Because it implies that the star isn't the reason the team is losing.
