Game Thread: NFC Wild Card-Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears

So what do the eagles do with Foles if:

A. the season ends next week?

B. He goes on another SB run and even wins another?

Is he the starter next year and they trade Wentz or is he traded? They'll be a great market for both with this draft not projected to have a lot of quality QBs.

Foles cant be traded. He can opt out. he is getting a raise by someone next year. Only way he stays an Eagle is if they resign him.

As a fellow Eagles fan, I will never disrespect you or your opinion. You may think Wentz is better, that's your right, but he has far from proven it as yet. His life so far as an Eagle has been "almosts". Almost won MVP, almost made it through season 1 without a season ending injury and almost made it out of season 2 without a season ending injury. That about wraps it up so far. I would never say he won't be great some day, but that day isn't today. Wentz may be the better QB, but Foles is the better Eagle.

There is a correlation between Foles, Wentz getting injured, and Eagles' playoff success......

apologies, it's been a weekly query. love nick, but regardless of what he does, eagles are going to stick with Wentz and Sudfeld going forward. Nick is nice, ice cold, but he's going to get a better option elsewhere, hopefully there's a better fit out there for him than Jeff Fischer.

Depends on who you ask. They could trade Wentz for something worthy of trading, but would a GM have the balls to do that after giving up so much to move up in the draft to get him?

I know the eagles are more dangerous with Foles at the helm, but my guess is he leaves for greener pastures. Wentz will still be their Future QB long term. (until his next injury anyways)

Either way, I think I'd like to have them at home over visiting the Saints if we can get past the Rams. Would make for a great NFC championship game. Gotta beat the Rams first though and just happy we finally got a playoff win.

So tell me,how did Philly want this game more than we did...…..?

Did we not stop their 2 pt conversion to be down by 1...……?......They didn't get in,that was all us.

Did Phillys st stop Cohen from getting a huge chunk of yardage on the ensuing ko…..?......No that was all us...….

Could Phillys def stop Trubisky from getting down close enough for a fg,not once but twice...……..?.....No,that was all us...………

Was it Phillys def that blocked that fg………..?...…...no that was all on Parkey for that miss...…..

The Eagles didn't have any answer....Just a piss poor kicker and a fg post stood in our way of victory...…….

And the to called from Pedersen to ice the k......…?......….ks are used to that...….Theres no excuse for him missing...….

Sorry, but I never make excuses, nor disguise them as facts. We outgained the Eagles in total yards, we had a +2 in turnovers, yet still failed to pull it out. That's what I meant by them wanting it a bit more. They just dug a little deeper. My hats off to them, but certainly no shame in the way our team played (tho fuck Parkey). Life goes on, let's get 'em next year.
