Well congrats to S. Carolina for beating 2 Ohio State teams that didn't even win 9 games in '00 or '01.

It's OK.....that's what the coots have big brother for, taking care of Ohio State the years they are actually good instead of overrated.

Born and raised in Blacksburg.
Well it’s like relatives. You can’t pick where you were born. I thought maybe it was last years ACC/Big challenge.
And being born there you should be pissed at your parents not me.

All joking aside, couldn't be happier that I grew up there. Just an amazing place. Have a lot of great memories with my dad in both football and basketball playing UVA growing up in the 90's. Wouldn't trade where I came from with anyone.

Pretty part of the Old Dominion. I have relatives in Lynchburg and Bedford. I wouldn’t like the snow that blows through there though. 90’s were a fun time between the two schools.

The Old Dominion as a whole is such a beautiful and diverse state of landscapes. Autumn in the Blue Ridge is such a great place to take in football. After living in Ohio 14 years now, yeah those winters weren't so bad though lol. At least there was still lots of sunshine.

But yes, the 90's had some great games in both football and basketball. Still remember when we played at Richmond Colosseum as neutral site games for basketball. Damn that Curtis Staples, think he just hit another 3? We took some really big steps in athletics during those times and it was a thrill to beat UVA if we were so fortunate.

I'm a hybrid. Dad was from Ohio but played football at U of Richmond and had me later on. He's always been a huge Buckeye, but never once pushed me to go to OSU. I just happen to take one visit there and since I grew up in Blacksburg wanted a big time football atmosphere. What better place than Ohio State? I was hooked. Still can't get good sweat tea here, that alone gives me pause to move back.

What years did your dad play at Richmond?

My brother was there 69 - 73, but didn’t play football. My brother-in-law played qb there 77-81. My father-in-law was a high school coach here in Hanover and I’m sure he knew some teammates of your dad, and probably would know him if I told him the name. Your dad was there before the push to become a football power began at Richmond. It didn’t last that long.

Very cool. Yeah if your father in law coached at Hanover then he definitely knows some of my dad's teammates. Dad was a linebacker and won a Tangerine Bowl against Ohio in 68. Still amazes he didn't play at a bigger school, he had letters he's shown me from Ohio State and Alabama? He felt though he was undersized at LB and would never see the field at bigger schools. Lucky for me that's where he ended up and I'm here today.

He coached at Lee-Davis in Hanover. His teams from 69-76 sent a bunch of kids to play college football. Jim Bunch who went to Alabama was probably in the top 3 all time at our High School.

What bizarre world do you live in? I didn't make any excuses. Just stated facts. It's not like S. Carolina beat a good Buckeyes team.
This feels like the Saban can’t beat a good Auburn argument.

I just find it weird that a S. Carolina fan is still celebrating bowl wins over Ohio State from the 2000 & 2001 seasons.

Honestly what does South Carolina have to celebrate recently?
