exactly.

and hte Lakers arent very talented. LeBron is the only top 50 player on the entire team.

And i think you are exactly right- LeBron let his ego get away from him- i think he just assumed others would follow him to LA. I think he was legitmately shocked when Kyrie wanted to get away from him.

He is a little tone deaf to the fact that these young guys know that if they play with LeBron they will be blamed when they lose and they will not get the credit they deserve when they win. They will have immense pressure and never be considered "the guy".

STILL better than the Cavs...

any way you slice it... :D

I will say...the Lakers COULD have a lot more wins, BUT Lebron is letting the young guys figure it put he wants to get them in every scenario possible and for him not have to takeover games. He did enough of that in Cleveland. When people say Lebron doesnt look as dominant this year and he hasn’t had that HUGE game like we see, who cares. Well first off, he is playing more off the ball. Secondly, at times he lets the young guys do their thing kinda like he did with Kyrie in Cleveland (you see how that turned out, they won a ship). These are even younger guys with even less experience so it will take time. Lebron knows exactly what he is doing, just like always. He is 20 steps in front of everyone right now and he probably knows he is coming to the Lakers next year or an idea of who he wants. 5-6 going through that rough stretch without Lebron taking over, without Ingram for 4 games, without Rondo in 3...not bad at all. Lebron is still the most dominant player in the world and it still isnt close. He probably needs to play a little better defense but really the last of his worries.

Exactly. He did the same things in Miami and his return to the Cavs. The broadcasters were actually talking about that during a recent Lakers game. He likes to see what he has around him and what they can do.

It's kind of like a players version of what Phil Jackson used to do when his team would be playing poorly and he'd refuse to call timeout. He wanted them to figure it out for themselves. He was willing to lose a game here and there if he felt there was a bigger lesson that would help them in the playoffs.

Imo, Lebron is taking a bit of a risk by playing a little bit of the "long game" this late in his career. He's basically betting that he can stay healthy and continue to play at a high level while waiting for the kids to develop and the Lakers to get another top guy.

He could "go all Lebron", dominate every game they play and they'd have a much better record right now.

But what would the kids learn from that? How would that help their development?

They'd get to the playoffs with a better seed, but likely have a worn out Lebron and a bunch of kids who still don't know how to play in tough games.

Kings, Grizz, and Clippers are all in playoff position as of today.

Who has the best shot - out of those 3 - of making the playoffs?

Yeah but it's only 10/11 games into the season. Let's see where those 3 teams will be w/ 10 games remaining in the season.

But to answer your question I have no idea. Memphis?:noidea:

What's dumb about the statement? Cleveland's 1-10 this year. Change my mind.

What happened to Miami (College Football) this year? I was expecting big things from them

Oh c'mon.....before the season you were asking if we were going to bet the games......I'll give you the spread.
Maybe one of the other games, they play 4 times.

You think this Lakers roster is demonstrably better than last year's Cavs roster? I don't.

There is certainly far more upside with this Lakers roster than the Cavs had. But for this year, I don't see this Lakers roster being all that much better than last year's Cavs roster.

Yes I do.

Cleveland's roster fits LeBron better for sure. But the Lakers have far more talent, and it isn't close.

Now, if the fit isn't better next season in LA, Magic will have some serious questions to answer.

the difference in Cleveland and Miami it was a matter of getting All Star talents- high level all star talents, like Kyrie and Love and Bosh and Wade on the same page.

I understand your comparison in LA, but if LeBron is taking a back seat, that means a 20 year old Ingram or Ball, who are just not nearly equipped to handle that responsibility like Kyrie or Wade or Bosh or Love were- have to rise up like that.

LeBron doesnt have the horses like he is used to right now. On top of that, he is playing the hardest schedule of his career. Kyrie Irving can average 25 a game and lead the team in scoring- and in fact he did one year with LeBron- Kevin Love can go for 18 and 10 and lead the team in rebounds.
