I would def think a 2nd round pick from MIA would be in the top 5-7 of the 2nd. I'd do that deal in a heart beat.

yea, hard to blow a top 40 pick, but we'll find a way dog gone it. Lots of needs that could be filled with that one.

That would give us 3 picks in the top 40 next year. Hopefully one of them is a S worth shit.

I wonder if Miami wants the entire length of the contract or if they'd want Palmer to restructure it.

I could see them leaning either way:

Restructure: Get Palmer for cheaper but with a shorter contract, there's always the likelihood of Palmer bolting after say 2 years in which case a 2nd round pick might not be worth a Palmer rental.

As-is: Guarantee having him for at least 4 years, but at a much higher cost.

I'd almost take 2 Safeties in the top 40 and hope to get 2 new starters. Both of our starters are that bad. Unless Mays can magically be good.

He can't even get on the field with this bunch.....my crystal ball says he'll suck too, once he does......we should draft safeties until we find one that can play....

I'm hoping this is just Marv keeping him off the field like he does most new guys. I'm hoping once he gets on the field he can play. We all know what happens if you hope in one hand and shit in the other though.

You have to have someone who can cover the TE and can play S. Who are you going to bench for this pass rusher? We have to upgrade the S position. It's no coincidence that the best D's all have top flight S's.

The best D's also have GREAT pass rushes. I'll put my money on that.

I would bench ANYONE on the line outside of Dunlap - the seldom he plays - if we got a legit pass rusher.

Johnson has been the best pass rusher on this tema this year. That elitepass rusher isn't helping the Rams so far this year. You have to have someone who can cover the TE. We need a S. We have guys who can get to the QB. We are tied for 7th in the leage with 9 sacks in 3 games. Our pass rush is fine, our S's are not.

No, not on a consistent basis and no it's not.

But this is a tired argument...

I'm sorry we have as many sack as Bal, GB and more than Pitt. I think our pass rush is fine. What do they have though? Elite S's.

Number of sacks means jack. You can have 10 sacks and only have gotten pressure on the QB all of 10 times.

Keyword: consistent

Our pass rush is fine. Our 3rd ranked D and 7 against the pass says so. We would be top 5 agaisnt the pass if we had someone who could cover the TE. We are fine in the pass rush department. Johnson has turned it on this year, Dunlap is good, Fanene has looked good, Atkins and Peko are getting a lot of pressure. We need S, O-Linemen, a RB, a 2nd WR, and a #2 CB all WAY before we look at a pass rusher. And I'm aware you are getting whipped. You should be used to it by now troll.

Flaming was 11 pass rushers and no CBs or safeties. Or RBs or WRs for that matter. He clearly doesn't understand that while pass rushers are great, you can't have absolute junk at the other positions.
