Are you saying that Smith has lived up to your expectations. Do you truly believe he can lead this team to a deep playoff run?
After all, isn’t that why we gave up so much to get him?

I wouldn't put the blame for this game on Smith. He wasn't great but he wasn't terrible. However the defense was mostly bad. Atlanta schemed our D well. They put the ILBs and safeties in conflict and they were caught in between playing the run and the pass all day long. Not sure how many times I saw Ioannidis chase a back down from the opposite side because the ILBs were out of position or blocked. Not much pressure, 2 sacks and I think Kerrigan had a couple more pressures but that was it.

ATL made a comment several times that the Falcons were loading the box and they were. They were making Smith and the receivers beat them. Several posters have been saying for a couple of weeks this was coming. Four people ran the ball today. The person with the most carries and the least yards was Petersen. I am not blaming, just supporting the fact that the Falcons took him away.

The other killer - 10 penalties for 147 yards. You aren't going to win many games with that many penalties.

If Cousin's were the QB a lot of folks would have just said he was stuffing his stats and he didn't do enough to win. I just wanted to go on record that I did not blame Smith.

its a game where we put up points very quickly. It can happen. Using the Flacons game to define our season is just wrong. We are 5-3 and are in prime position especially if the Cowboys lose Monday night to take the division.

this is insane. Not saying Smith is playing great but in no way he deserves to be benched. If you watched the game I guess you didn't see the dropped balls and holding penalties that this offense was committing on a constant basis.

It's funny no one mentioned Smith's scramble to set up the 2nd touchdown. When the offensive line allowed three Falcons to come right at him.

No I wouldn't. When have you seen this offensive line commit this many penalties? The time when I roasted KC is when he made dumb decisions and make costly turnovers in the redzone. The defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down.

I agree that no QB would have been successful. That doesn’t excuse AS’s play. He was still bad. He wasn’t as bad as many other players but he still was bad. He looks extremely nervous all the time.

They committed 10 penalties, Rodgers was under constant pressure, and AP ran for 120 yards. You make it sound like AS carried the team when he threw for 220, 2TDs and a pick. Hell that is a below average game for 90% of NFL QBs.

The scramble was a miracle? Drops and Oline penalties. Never happened when Cousin's was QB? Was it the KC game, that Dox dropped a wide open throw? How many points were the Redskins up last year against the Saints only to lose the game in OT? Which QB led his team to a go ahead TD with 1:05 left only to see the D blow it?

Sorry man, every Sunday was a whine and cheese party for you and a few others when Cousin's was here. Now that you have your boy (LMAO!!!) you have an entire new set of rules and are much more understanding. Holy Crap!!! without that miracle scramble the Skins might have lost 38-7 instead of 38-14.
