Again, it’s just the way the ball rolls. Red Sox are last years yankees at this point. Good luck at trying to take away what the stros aren’t giving up!

The Red Sox won 108 frigging games tjhat . They weren't some plucky upstart. This is the 3rd straight season that they have won the division.

The Astros are a very good team and absolutely can win the series. Baseball playoffs are largely a crap shoot.

Only bitter Yankee fans would argue that the Astros and Yankees were the teams to beat but not the team with the best record in baseball.

Sorry brother, reg season means squat! Houston is team to beat then comes yanks! It’s what I posted all year! Yanks had you guys on the ropes in game 1! Media all over Price!! Yanks choked ! Plain and simple! I watched maybe all of 5 minutes of the series , all I had to see was Stanton strike out bases juiced no outs, and Gardner back out there to know we would not take series . Boone is a moron! Wrong lineup , wrong pitcher in game 3!

Yankees messed up, you will not get passed the stros. But good luck anyway!

Actually I agree with you, I believe Houston will advance. Of course your post said nothing about the Astros. You are still clinging to the notion that the Yankees should have won this series and were the better team when by every measuring stick throughout the season and in this series they were the inferior team.

Insisting your team choked instead of simply admitting the better team all year won just makes you look like a butt hurt fan of a loser.

No sir sir sirrrrr! I’m no bitter fan. Red Sox took care of business! It’s called window of opportunity! The Yankees were one game away last year. Leaves a bitter taste! All you want to do is get back there.

Nobody expected the Sox to have season they did. Hats off to them no doubt. But it was the Yankees window of opportunity that just closed because of foolishness! Now , The Sox , pressure is all on them! The Stros sent the Sox a message last series!

Gonna be a good one!!!

You mean like the window of opportunity the Yankees climbed through to get the WC? Just a month or so ago it was a crap shoot. Good thing the A's and M's fell off the earth and "chocked" away their opportunity.

Maybe you should start by watching more then five minutes you may learn something.

The Yankees never were the team to beat this season. Stop lying to yourself.

The damn Skankees just lost 3-4. One game they got curb stomped 16-1. They lost two in a row in the new Yankee stadium. These aren't your granpappies Yankees. The organization is a splinter of it's glory days. No matter how much CC and others want to complain about the umpiring the Yankees lost plain and simple.

As for the Astros, they have a good team and could very well win this series. If they do at least they'll have beaten the best team from the division series.

I for one, am a really happy Red Sox fan. Yankees had a great year and we kicked you out. There is more baseball to go. Now as far as the rivalry, Red Sox have won 7 out of the last 8 playoff games against the Yankees.....

Yep this rivalry is almost losing it's allure :dhd: rivalries are usually based on competitiveness. Not the Hatfield and McCoys feud of yesteryear.

Teams that comes in with 3rd best record don't. We know that for a fact now don't we?

When the two teams both win 100 game and meet in the playoffs I think the rivalry is still very much alive and well. When both teams are good it's still a rivalry. When it's the Redskins and the Cowboys, not so much.

Well that's certainly a better argument than the team with the 3rd best record that hasn't won their division in 6 years being the team to beat.

And if we get past the A's all Yankee fans are trembling at the 0-11 combined playoff record, along with the almost 7 ERA of your top 3 starters.

whoops

Yeah, other than Price, the gift that keeps on giving, the other pitchers did a great job. Eovaldi threw a gem. But at the end of the day it was their inability to hit with RISP in game one and game 4 that killed the Yanks. They left a Guatemalan fishing village on base in game one.

So , by your post , you would have been shocked if yanks went all the way, that’s just silly!
