Huge for them.
If Miller can get healthy and sorted out.
Indians needed to do something to get their BP up to par with the other playoff teams.

Had no idea their BP era after the 7th was at 5
Maybe bring back Ricky Vaughn?Fucking shit. The bullpen's been so bad, the Indians needed to do something to get their BP up to par with teams with shitty bullpens.
Hopefully, this move and the return of a healthy Miller <crosses fingers> could put their BP up among the best in MLB, which would put the Indians in the conversation of best team in MLB.
Great get
Huge cost
Mejia is a big time prospect
Word. I'm concerned at this point that that might be a big "if," but you're right. A bullpen anchored by healthy and effective Hand, Miller and Allen could be nasty.
Indians could be nasty in the second half with an improved bullpen and a little more consistency at the dish (they rank 4th in MLB in RS, but by month, they've ranked as low as 25th, and as high as 1st).
Maybe, but the Indians need bullpen help more than they need a big time prospect.
There's also the possibility that there's something they don't like about him. Maybe they don't think he'll stick at C? Or maybe his defense leaves something to be desired? They seem to be content with lighter-hitting backstops with high end defensive chops.
It's been ridiculous.
Their rotation's ERA ranks 2nd in baseball, they've scored the 4th most runs in baseball, and their bullpen has been flirting with 30th all season.
