how many point guards in the NBA (i) cant shoot, and (ii) struggle off the dribble?

Kyrie Irving is one of the best offensive players in the league because he has 2 amazing attrbitues - (i) an amazing shot, and (ii) a lightning quick first step and ability to finish at the rim.

Colin Sexton does not have a great shot at this point, but he possess that athleticism and lightning quick first step and ability to finish at the rim in traffic.

If you possess neither one of those atributes, just what are you doing playing point guard?

It's Baker Mayfield without a doubt.
I was kind of thinking it was Lindor- as Lindor is one of the best players in baseball and a multi time all star, platinum glove winner, plays with a joy that you dont see often.

Baker very well might be- but if ihad to pick right now it would be Frankie.

Agree.

That was Wamu's point.

The Lakers aren't making the Finals.

Nooooooooobody is predicting nor expecting that.

So, it was odd that Wiggy keeps mentioning it as if it were expected.
when was i mentioning "it as if expected"

i just said I am glad that the Lakers wont make the Finals and ill get to see LeBron eliminated, if not in the first round, then at best likely in the 2nd round.

Is it illegal tbe glad that LeBrons finals streak will come to a screeching halt?

Will Lonzo reeeeeaaaaasallllly be the Pg on that roster?

I could see his and James assist totals on the same scale as Draymond and Steph.

Look at the Nugz.

Murray is the pg. But, the fucking Center is the guy who runs the offense.

Biggest difference in those scenarios?

Curry and Murray can shoot.

Lonzo has to at least become respectable.

Ps. Damn do I love Jokic.

Pps. I expect Lonzo to get traded by next Summer, if not sooner.

The Lakers as presently assembled.....are a 7-8 seed.
5 or 6 is not out of the realm of possibility.

Portland and NOLA played above their heads.

But, Minny, OKC and Denver underachieved.

I don't know where to place the Spurs until I see their final roster.

But, they didn't have Kawhi last year and were still successful.

No, I didn't have a problem with you mentioning it.

Just interpreting where Wamu's was coming from.

i dunno about that......

I think its clear that the Rockets and Warriors are better. I think the Thunder are better too and they should improve with a year of continuity and Roberson healthy and bringing in Noel.

I mean- right now the Spurs are better with Kawhi AND Aldridge, Pop, and some of their pieces but we all think that is not going to last so lets not count them.

I could see the Lakers either finishing ahead of, or behind the Pelicans, Trailblazers, Jazz, Twolves and maybe even the Nuggets.

Id put the Lakers anywhere from the 4 seed to the 8 seed. Ill guess either its between the 5-7 seven. If I had a gun to my head I would guess they are the 6th seed probably unless all those teams play to the best of their abilities.

between 5-7 sounds right to me.

I dont expect the Thunder to struggle this year. I think they will be good with a year of continuity and with Paul George's situation resolved. They have a great GM too.

All the other teams have things that could go wrong-- the Blazers had rumors of getting blown up after that playoff embarrassment. The Nuggets are still young and still unproven though they are talented and pretty deep. The Twolves might be the 3rd most talented team in the West (they probably are) but we have heard rumblings that Towns is not happy there. The Jazz have Mitchell and Gobert but there is still a hole where Hayward left, though they are a damn tough team. The Pelicans, especially if they bring back Cousins are freaking talented but seem fragile for some reason.

Some of those teams will play well, some of those teams will underachieve. As long as the Lakers do not underacheieve i think they should manage a #6 seed.

Now if Lonzo is hurt with this knee thing, and Ingram plays like he is still 21 years old, and Caldwell Pope and Stephenson dont play well- is there any chance the Lakers totally miss the playoffs? I would say NO instinctively, but with how loaded the West is, if things break bad you never know.

Why wouldn't they?
hes an expiring contract worth 24M

at the very least hang on to it until the deadline and see if something presents itself.

I do agree if this asshole still thinks he is a starting player, then maybe you have to make a move-- either that or just start him for a few minutes and get him only like the 20-25 minutes a game he deserves.

Melo is not a 30+ minute player anmore.
