that would be awful. Its not happening.

Hes going to the Sixers.
From what I'm seeing, the Sixers are even MORE skeptical now that LeBron is in LA that they would be able to keep Kawhi past this upcoming season. I highly doubt they even wanna take a chance on him now. If they do, they won't give up Saric, Covington and the Miami pick. It'll be one player and one pick probably.

Same here but I'm pretty sure he is banking on the Lakers signing one of those starts next year who will become available. I think he's ok with being eliminated in early May this season if it means competing for the finals in the final 3 years of the contract
if u were to guess, how many more years is LeBron the best player in basketball?

my guess is 2...but it could very easily be 1 or 3.

if the Spurs could get The Miami Pick, Covington and Saric i think they should do that in a second.

Id think that would be a worthwhile gamble for the Sixers- but we shall see.

Lebron's trolling everyone here. He really is a genius...

He DGAF about winning anymore, his legacy will always be what it is. Instead he made you think his desire to leave Cleveland was to better his chances to win, but opted for one of the most desirable cities in the world in LA. So in summation:

1) Lebron leaves Cleveland and a final FU to Gilbert
2) Gets to move to LA to live in the twilight of his NBA Career.
3) No expectation to really challenge for a title.
4) Gets to market his brand and build up his off court value post retirement in one of the biggest markets in the US.
5) Gets to further venture into his film/tv producing.
6) Last and most important, NOT A DAMN PERSON BLAMES HIM.

Genius.

Yeah 2 would be my guess. I can't see him being the best when he's 36+

i think the only downside is that if he does not bring a title to LA he will never be embraced in LA like others were. In order to be a "great" in LA you have to win a title. And right now if i had to ball park whether he wins a title there or not i think its a 50/50 proposition at best.

I think Golden State will be together either 1 or 2 more years. It depends on what Klay does- i think Klay will leave, but i also think that if Klay stays, Draymond then leaves after that. So either 1 or 2 more years

After 2 more years LeBron will be 36.

And got Cleveland to take in Clarkson and Nance during the mid-point of the season to where Lebron would fit in there cap this offseason. He really is a genius.

This.

And he's smart. He knows the W's are about to have some serious issues with the salary cap so after next season.....the Championship may be up for grabs.

gotta admit it there, WiggityWack. you're taking this better than I thought you would...
it was clear to me on Thursday when news came out about Paul George last summer.

The news was that a deal was done for Paul George in a Love trade but the Cavs would not do it without LeBron committing long term.

If LeBron was not committing long term to a roster with George and Irving----- then why would he now that Griffin and Irving are gone?

Right after that Irving asked out, AND Griffin got out. Last summer is what sealed the deal.

What is surprising to me is that LeBron went to LA even though he pretty much knows he cant make the Finals this year. That genuinely surprises me in a huge way. I am still shocked at the age of 34 he would sacrifice one of the last great seasons he has in his gas tank.

I would have ALMOST thought he would sign another 1 and 1 in Cleveland, make them trade Sexton and pieces for Kemba--- and try once more with Kemba and Love in Cleveland, before leaving for LA next year with Kawhi and so that the Lakers would have Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Wagner, Hart and lotto pick X that they would get this year- plus Deng would have been eminently more movable with just 1 year remaining instead of 2.

it honestly seems that Space Jam 2 is why LeBron is currently on the Lakers THIS YEAR. lol....fucking crazy.

look at it like this. in a way the pressure's off. and as much as I truly dislike the S.O.B. 8 years in a row of going to the finals was taxing as fuck and it has to feel better lowering the expectations a tad. yesterday on BSpn they were even saying LeClown told Magic to "operate as normal" to paraphrase it. which I would think is way outta character for the guy...

Magic no doubt'll continue to try to put together a true contender, but in a way, it sounds like this dude's really getting tired...

I could be wrong, but I guess we'll see...

very true

also, i think he would rather have died than lose a series to Kyrie Irving and the Celtics.

OKC just signed Nerlens Noel.

OKC has shored up it's biggest need: More athletes who cannot shoot.

that defense though....

You have a defense of RW, Roberson, George, Noel and Adams.....thats about as athletic and feisty and rugged as you can get.......

but yah---

I almost thought that Klutch would get Noel to LA for a "make good" contract for 1 year...kind of surprised (And glad) that didnt happen.

Was GS not interested in McGee anymore?

Why would he sign with the Lakers? I don't get it.
