I wouldn't mind a new stadium going on the old site or where one of the parking lots are and making the existing site parking.

this needs to happen.

The atmosphere at a Skins game vs an Eagles game where the stadium is located in South Philly are completely night and day.

FedEx is the quietest stadium I have ever been in (seen 5-6 games). Large part is because its not attracting the "real" redskins fans or the blue collar fans because of the price.

Its wine and cheese

I really don't think it needs to be in DC & those of us who don't live in the DC area should not be too concerned about it. Really what I want to see is an electric atmosphere that hasn't been part of the Redskins culture in a while. Sure part of this has to do w/ winning but the setup at FedEx also contributes to this.

FedEx is awful - they need to build a stadium that is loud & provides a great experience for the fans. Doesn't matter if it is in DC or VA (to heck w/ MD - they already have another team). All of the folks I know there live in VA so I am partial to that area (assuming it doesn't lead to traffic nightmares).

Two negatives against DC - 1. their politicians are going to try to tie this to the name change & 2. getting there is a pain for NOVA folks. Sure - they will state that it is near the Metro but lots of folks tailgate so this is not an option. In any case I think that going back to DC is a longshot.

the fans at FedEx when its not 50% the opposing team are not into the games.

they are tabbed wine and cheese fans

the team has to stay in a team hotel Saturdays before home games, the only team in the NFL that has to do that because of the traffic and how far the HQ is from the stadium.

Its the quietest stadium I have ever been in.

Games are pretty expensive too

The Skins do not have a home field advantage like the other 31 teams.

They need to make a concerted effort to get the blue collar fans back into seats... make it accessible to all parts of DC including those who rely on public transportation.... if not it will be more of the same...

I believe that fans would be more into the game based on 1. more winning (obviously) & 2. a stadium that is built to be fan friendly & noisy - FedEx is neither. It was just a bad design from day one.

As far as elite fans - some of that is unavoidable due to rising ticket cost & this issue is not unique to DC. I have been to other NFL stadiums & seen a lot worse. As for being expensive - pretty much the norm for most NFL towns. Again - winning & better preparation of the new stadium will help give the team more of a home team advantage. You can't blame Snyder for the initial poor design of FedEx - that falls on Cooke. However you can blame him for some of the revisions which were also pretty poor.

To be blunt public transportation is not a priority & this is not about making the team accessible to everyone - it is about making money. Again - lots of folks like to tailgate so public transportation is not a big deal to them. BTW - move the stadium to VA & you don't have that issue w/ players & hotel stays - everything would be in VA.

We will see.

The way Philadelphia has its layout designed should be what every city strives for.

Wells Fargo, Citizens Bank, and the Linc are all in South Philly in the same area. Parking is never an issue since there are 3 stadiums in same area so essentially 3 parking lots (which arent individually as big or necessary as to what you find at MetLife in New Jersey or Fed Ex)

Huge stadium like bar smack dab in middle of parking lots (Xfinity Live)

The stadiums are the last stop on the subway, are located just off Broad Street, and 95/76 are easily accessible.

When I lived in South Philly I walked to a Redskins - Eagles game....

I've also driven to games and have taken the subway to games.

The tailgating is the best I've ever seen and if you cant bring your car Xfinity Live is right there for you, or for those who want to experience the atmosphere and dont have a ticket, or for those who get bored of the games and want to get out to a massive bar.

It really is perfect
