No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
I like Scott, Stewart, and Weathers the most out of the ones mentioned. I wish we could get a college player to fall to us.
The one guy I mentioned earlier I really don't want is OF Jordyn Adams. They must use our board
Between Singer, Liberatore, and Winn we will have at least one of them as an option.
Are you pleased? The Rangers selection is in.
Cole Winn RHP from Orange Lutheran HS in Orange, CA.
Lot of good players come from Calif
If you told me before the draft that we would get him I would be happy. I do wonder why the other two pitchers I mentioned earlier have fallen this far and why the Rangers weren't interested. A lot of teams have passed on them though.RHP Cole Winn, Orange, CA, Age 18, 6'2", 195 (Jonathan Mayo in an earlier mock)
(#10 prospect per BA, #9 per MLB.com)
Everybody now has Winn off the board by the time the Rangers pick, as he's only improved this spring. His fastball reaches the mid-90s with good command, and his change has been okay, if rarely employed. Winn throws a solid curve and developing slider, the latter a recent addition per Baseball America. If he doesn't sign, he'll head to TCU.
