I don't really know how that happened other than Curry and the Warriors are great. They are at their best when they play through him. They found a way to get him going in the 3rd and it unlocked everything. Houston played into it by foolishly not driving to the basket (other than Eric Gordon, who kept attacking and kept them within striking distance) but either way, that was nuts.

The 'way' they found was Houston getting tired. You can't play that kind of stellar D all 48 with a 6 man rotation.

@tlance and everyone else...

Is it worth it to get LeBron if you lose Capela?

They could probably get a guy like Noel to plug in.

But, that's a steep drop in talent....imo
It won't work in Houston. Harden and James cannot coexist.

Really?

Because I have watched guys like DeAndre Jordan and Shaq make 5 or 6 in a row in these situations. Yes. It is easier to find rhythm when you shoot the same shot over and over in a short period. Even for a bad shooter.

And I’ve seen Durant miss 3 free throws in a row.

Doesn’t make any of it logical.

You are speaking in “ifs”. “If” capela goes 3/4 and “if” Durant misses.

The lone fact is the numbers say Capela has a 40% chance of making a free throw.

Rockets have a bunch of guys with far better odds of getting them 2-3.

There is a reason no one had a problem with it. Why Kerr did it and why Dantoni adjusted.

You say it’s risky...Capela could also go 0-4 and the game is completely over.

Green works hard though and does the dirty work.

Green is the true leader of the team. Curry and KD are too quiet/chill, Dray is the one with the fire who will get in others' faces. He's the key to the D and defense wins rings.

Probably lose Gordon too, right?

I have to say no. Crazy to say that, but I don't think he makes them better if they lose Capella and Gordon. His skills are too redundant.
Yep, Gordon too.

Yeah fouling up 10 when you completely dominated the 2nd half was just dumb. I was praying Capella would make 2 of 2 on one of those trips to make Kerr look stupid.

Another reason why that entire hack whoever must completely be gone.

Up double digits and doing that crap is a waste of time for all parties involved.

That's kind of Kerr's thing though. He's going to coach the game in the 4th the same way as he is in the middle of the 2nd quarter. It's easy to second guess (god knows I do it) but the results speak for themselves. Bottom line is that the W's are just a lot better conditioned than their opponents are. I understand that they have a pretty deep bench but there's no excuse for the Rockets to be as gassed as they were in the 4th quarter., especially given the tempo they pimp that they want to run at.

I'm sorry, I thought you'd be busy crying in your mom's basement somewhere after this game :dhd:

The NBA marketing corporate douchers at it again.. Throwing "GOAT" around after this game with Lebron. With only 3 titles and a future 3-6 NBA finals record.

All the more reason to despise corporate America even more. They truly are a bunch of fucking TOOLS

Agree.

I saw many Lakers games where the Hack-A-Shaq backfired because the opponent used it too much and he got into a rhythm.

It's why he used to say..."I make them when it counts".

Agree. He's the type of guy you hate if he's not on your team but love if he is.

It's no fun going to the NBA finals? OK then.
I just think they are being premature with the Warriors in 4 games crap - LeBron is the best player in the NBA and far greater then Hardin who almost took the Warriors down by himself and some help from Chris Paul. Capella played far above his normal and Trevor Ariza played above his normal - I think some how, Lue is going to find a way to make that a competitive series. Any time you have a champion like LeBron - you can't assume the worst is automatic

I thought the same about Paul.

After LeBron gets his doors blown off again in the Finals, and this exhausting Season of having to carry the load in almost every statistical category, LeBron may welcome the lightened work load.

But, that's just me guessing.

Who cares. Curry is never going to be accused of being the best basketball player ever but he's the GOAT Warrior which all that matters to me.

All three of those guys together? I don't think it will work
