It would be until you realize Dak had pretty good stats the year before when his surrounding cast was functioning. The Dak negativity is presumptuous.

With that being said... Dallas didn't do much to rectify that situation.

Yeah, im judging that post strictly on whats happened so far, I dont think anyone would take Dak over Wentz.........I was a HUGE Dak believer from that great preseason his rookie year, he played like a poised vet that entire season...Some red flags last year, looked completely lost during the Zeke suspension, and as you point out, with Allen Hurns as his #1 target, and his safety blanket Witten gone, this will be a season where we will get a real gauge on who Dak is...A guy that requires the perfect surroundings? Or a guy capable of making players around him better?

I don't think Witten is really a loss at all. I think it was pretty apparent he was at the end of his rope. Sad, but I think it may be true. Witten may have been cut in camp this year if he didn't take the TV gig now.

Hurns is an ok start, but that offense needs a lot of help at WR. With all that being said we should expect growth from Dak. I still believe in Dak.

that's fair....Dak's issue last year had much more to do with the oline play and receiver drops than not having Elliott.

It's always funny to me when folks say he was good because of this supporting cast and bad on his own merit with zero regards to how his supporting cast played. Looking right at you on this point Moose

Dak performs well

"wow, amazing, but look at Zeke!"

>Surrounding cast drops off

"Everything is Dak's fault"

Pat Mahomes or Jimmy G in fantasy?
I'll put it this way:

If you have two unknowns that have flashed talent at QB, pick the one surrounded by more knowns:

Andy Reid has consistently had good offenses and likes to pass the ball traditionally

Shanahan also has had consistently productive offenses/overachievers

Mostly gonna cancel out there

Are you going to pick against a skill position group of:

Tyreek Hill
Sammy Watkins
Chris Conley
DeMarcus Robinson
Travis Kelce
Kareem Hunt
Spencer Ware
Charcandrick West

Or...

Pierre Garçon
Marquise Goodwin
Dante Pettis
Trent Taylor
George Kittle
McKinnon
Breida
Joe Williams

I think the decision is very easy. Both defenses probably won't be good so there should be plenty of possessions for both.

I want one of them, if not both if the price is right

The points you make are fair, but could be somewhat offset by the fact that Jimmy G has shown a bigger sampling of what he can do, while Mahomes is more about potential almost entirely

For the record, Ive made it clear Im a big believer in Mahomes

Yeah, I haven't been checking their ADP's, but anything close to make you think they are around QB10 and you need to nab them.

Just hoping I could stack up on my RB's and at least 2 solid WR's and add a Jimmy or Mahomes

But i have a feeling come draft day, they will both be pretty high on everyones list

What I have been doing lately is just grab the best WR I can get, grab one of the top TE's, and then load up on undervalued RB's and QB's where I can.

If I were drafting tomorrow I'd probably try for Brown, Top RB available, Kelce, WR2, RB, QB as a general strategy. Last year felt kind of easy because of two RB's getting a huge workload in Hunt and Fournette, but this year is a little tougher to game.

I like it

This has to be the worst season ever to get the #1, maybe even a Top 3 pick

All these projected top RB's, Gurley, Bell, Zeke, Johnson, you can just pick one out of a hat......Ill take AB, or a Hunt or Kamara at the #5 through 8'ish and say Thank you

I would fade Hunt as a 1st round pick. I'd be leary with Ware back. That has bigly vulture potential. Too much unknown. Mahomes and Kelce are probably where the fantasy gold is. Hill is going to be stupid overvalued I'd have to imagine by now in fantasy.

Yeah, not high for me, just tossing it out...Kamara with the Ingram suspension is ahead of him

Come to think of it though... for fantasy purposes I'd like Nick Chubb right now from the Browns. Some good value there I bet.

So deep a pool this season.......I like Henry a lot, I think Drake can be had at really good value with big upside......Chubb for sure, Sonny Michel would be a risk, but the upside in that NE offense can be huge......And I could see Joe Mixon fly under the radar big time and be a steal

Mmm, Joe Mixon ain't a terrible idea. The Bengals did add Glenn and are a year older at other spots. That will be interesting.

It would have to be the right spot, just get a feeling after the hype and being overdrafted last season, it will be the opposite of that this year, and he will drop to a really good value spot

For you objective = kiss Eagles ass. If not you wouldn't be calling out all those how don't by name.

It's long been your MO long before the Eagles won squat.

Can anyone translate this for me?

And, yes... it has been my objective to disagree with people on topics on a chat board. Especially when theres an excellent SB winning team that all some can say is, "The stars lined up right and thats the only reason they won a SB".

LOL...What?
Was Dak better in 2016? YES
Was Wentz better in 2017? YES
Is Dak's stats through two seasons as good or better than Wentz? YES
now...one was the 2nd player taken while the other was a 4th round selection.
I remain just fine with Elliot and the 4th rounder over your guy.

Time will tell how this ends up but make no mistake, it's a pure homer view to have Wentz so much better when that hasn't shown itself thru two seasons

Yeah... its really being a homer saying Wentz is a MUCH better QB then Dak. Its pretty obvious. I can tell Zeke is a star all ready and MUCH better then anything the Eagles have at RB... or do I have to wait down the road to say that.

Wentz has a lot to prove and isnt in the elite class of the Rodgers and Brady but if we go off by what we saw in 2017 youre telling me as a GM you'd rather have:

A superstar RB and a middling QB OVER a superstar QB?
