I’m not reading through this thread, but can somebody tell me me why Clarkson, Nance, Hill, and Hood were doing so good before they joined the Cavs but are all struggling playing with the greatest player of all time?

Playing on shitty teams, leading your teams to absolutely nowhere, is so much easier than playing against the best teams when the lights are brightest...

Just ask Kevin Love

Well, I'm still sticking with my Cavs prediction. Don't know if they'll win in 6 now, probably more likely 7.

But this series, along with the Indiana first round series just re-enforced my belief that Cleveland's not winning the title.

You should have figured that out a long time ago

And they are losing this series

That's about as good an explanation I've heard.

Kudos. :thumb:

In all seriousness, I think if Lue actually has any say-so, he should force James to sit for X amount of minutes so others have to get involved.

True, but the Raptors were the #1 seed, fully healthy and pretty much everything they did last off-season and during this season was to take down Lebron and the Cavs...they got swept.

Meanwhile, the Celtics, minus their 2 best players, have a 2-0 lead in the ECF on the team that the Raptors were all geared up to beat.

That's not a good look for the Raptors and cost the coach of the year his job.

Just more evidence how meaningless the regular season is...Shame on anyone that really bought into the Raptors, with their 2 stars who always shit the bed in the playoffs

They would be down 30 by time Lebron re-entered the game

if anyone will give me 2-1 odds I will bet on the Cavs to win this series despite being down 2-0 at this point.

Everyone nationally WANTS Cleveland to lose, to lose LeBron etc.....but i think they are in for a big ole soggy shit sandwich.

Then why do you need odds?
You either believe it or hope it.
If you hope it, then yes, you should want odds.

Not necessarily true.
They increased the lead a few times vs Toronto and the ball was actually moving.

Celtics are a different beast entirely......They defend their asses off, and considering how average to awful that Cavs roster is without Lebron, i cant imagine anything good coming from it

Yeah, a few bought into them. So did a few of the "experts" in the media.

I never bought into them completely. I thought they should win based on talent, but wasn't willing to buy in until I saw they could stand up to Lebron.

Even at that, I didn't think they'd get swept.

Me either, on the sweep, I just thought "Lowry and Derozan, saw this movie too many times"

its just about matchups

Toronto does it a lot different than Boston.

Toronto has skill guys--- DeRozan and Lowry- not athletes.

guys like DeRoza nand Lowry struggle against the Cavs- while athletes do well against them.

I just want to remind everyone that LeBron, Sasha Pavlovic, Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, & Ilgasukus overcame an 0-2 deficit to beat the #1 seed Pistons 11 years ago.

Its matchups and its also just about having good games and bad games. Raptors had a very bad ending to game 1, Cavs had an amazing game 2, and from there the Raptors just didn't do a good job of believing.

The Celtics had an amazing game 1, the Cavs had a very bad ending to game 2. The Cavs need to do a better job than the Raptors did of staying the course and maintaining a belief. Having LeBron vs facing LeBron gives them an advantage in that area.

Why didn't you bet straight up before the series started? Actually I know why but I want to hear your version.

Yeah, at his age and the mileage he has on his body.....he shouldn't be playing more than 37-38mpg in the playoffs.

And if the Lakers or any other team sign him as a FA.....limit him to 35-37mpg during the season. No need for him to lead the League in mpg.

Im pulling for the Lebrons, i just dont see where its happening bud

The athleticism and intelligence advantage, I dont see that going away

The fact that Cleveland has too many guys that simply wont defend for 48 minutes, and Boston does

For Lebron to do what he did the other night, and for Love to be very solid, and to still lose pretty easily, thats a bad sign IMO
