Carter Hart WHL goalie of the year. Again.

First goalie in WHL history to win it 3 years in a row.
I saw that. Wow. He sounds like an impressive kid. I hope he transforms into an elite goaltender in the NHL. We are way past due for an elite goalie.

Goalie has been a glaring problem for the flyers for more than 20 years. We need him to be the chosen one.

Ill agree !!
Well at this point we have no where else to go but up? By keeping an Elliott/Neuvy split we are just stagnating for another year. We need this kid to split some time with Elliott and move Neuvy somewhere? Hope this comes true because the first wave of youngsters have grown and now it's time to insert some more.

Id say the put him in the AHL first but im ready for a goalie to solve our long standing goalie issues.
WHy though? If he's kicking that much ass now what will the AHL teach him the NHL can't? I'd rather he play win or lose for the big club and get his feet wet, just my opinion or maybe wishful thinking.

Dont most goalies move on from the WHL after winning 1 no less 2 goalies of the year awards.

IDK about all that but it's time to push him to the next levels IMO, it's going to take him at least a year to get acclimated.

WHL - Defensive tough league with a emphasis on strong defensive play. A lot of decent defenseman, grinders, and occasionally strong offensive players come of the Dub.

AHL - The AHL is the minor leagues for NHL teams. Players who aren't yet ready for the NHL or who aren't good enough for the NHL get sent there.

I know what they are lol, but I guess I'd rather see him split time with the Flyers and the AHL, Neuvy does nothing for us and I'd rather Hart get that playing time.

Sign him up, sounds like he's ready to face some real players.

He's already signed to an entry level deal. I seriously doubt he makes the Flyers right out of training camp though, even if he plays extremely well. Hexy will ease him into the pro game at the Ahl level and then once he's mastered it and/or one of our starters goes down, he will finally dip his feet into the Nhl waters.

I do hope it all happens in season one for him, but we shall see.

Probably, Just rather see this kid get any time from our back up. We would have just as much of a chance to win or better with him in there lol.
