I'm starting to wonder if Paul George is fool's gold. He seems to consistently come up small in big moments.

No coincidence that Indy got a lot better after he left?

I don't know about fools gold, but he definitely is not a franchise player. Then again, I don't think many here ever thought he was.

I still think he is a highly valuable 2 way player. But if he is your best guy, your team probably won't be that good. I would like to see how he fits in a new location like LA or Philly before I go so far as to call him fools gold.

That said, the market price will be $30 some million a year. Only legit superstars are truly worth 30% of the cap, and George isn't that.

Well again. When Westbrook is dribbling up the court and chucking up ill-advised 3's, it's really hard for anyone to get anything going or really in this case have an opportunity to contribute offensively.
Exactly. Guys like Melo and PG can't find a rhythm.

Say what you want about Ball but he is a pass first PG and he rarely takes more than 10-12 shots a game. RW is clearly a far better player but Ball would find PG & Melo often enough to find their rhythm and let them get into a flow.

RW & Melo might be better off with PG gone. As crazy as that sounds. Just 2 guys that need to share the shots so to speak. And maybe Adams continues to develop and become the 3rd guy. And they put a youngster at PG's vacated spot.

PS: Their lux tax was gonna be insane next season with PG.

If he goes to LA without Lebron then he's going to be THE guy and that is exactly the problem with him. Philly would probably be a better fit because he would be the 3rd banana but, to your point, $30 million a year for a 3rd option seems like a huge waste of money.

RW went off after the game and he's right. Fans shouldn't be allowed to act a fool.

He's not #1 player. He's easily a #2. But he's a very good player. Similar to Aldridge. He needs to be on a team with an alpha.

Jazz proved me wrong about them.

I wonder if Donovan Mitchel would've happened this fast if Hayward had stayed.

I was at this game, I did not know Westbrook got into it with the fans, but I dolt blame him. They are assholes.

I was cheering for the Jazz all game, but I asked my wife how they did not call that on Gobert and a few fans freaked the duck out that I was a fake fan.

Favorite thing I heard pregame? Jazz should not have to hard of a time against the Rockets, all you have to do is stop them from hitting outside shots.....

I'm still trying to figure out how Russ got an and 1 when he was fouled 15 feet from the basket on a layup yet George's wasn't a shooting foul when he was clearly shooting

They determined that he fouled "on the gather", so technically speaking, he wasn't shooting making it the correct call.

Having said that, I think it's bs. It's the NBA's version of the NFL's "completing the process/surviving the ground" nonsense on catches.

Nice experiment Thunder. Statman Westbrook, some guy named after movies you know wont be good, and a guy who never quiet lived up to his potential. Didn't work out, maybe next year.
