im not ready to judge that trade based on a few homers given up

the guy did pitch a lot to the al east, playing for baltimore

and had those great numbers

perhaps he needs time to show more promise for us

I think Uehara's struggles has been as much about pitch selection as anything. Sure his location has been suspect but I think he just needs to get on the same page as the catchers. Or they need to figure out what he does best.

Had class tonight so I couldn't post, but nice win for Texas. Excellent outing for CJ. Seems he really does like being in routine rather than getting extra rest. Not a bad idea to limit his pitch count though, even though I knew it had as much to do with his finger as anything. BP looked good tonight. Neffy got screwed a little by the strike zone, and a chump chopper single, but I still like the way he is pitching. Hopefully Dutch, Harry, and Cobra are on for Boston. We owe them a little payback.

Maybe @ SEA or OAK ... rather than in the next 4 - 5 games @ BOS or TBR.

He's not up here "to see what he can do". He's up here so TEX can hang the carrot in front of his eyes and make him work toward making the active roster out of camp next year.

Had Cruz not gone the DL ... he would have never gotten activated until Sep ... he's the least experienced LH batting OF . Barring another OF injury ... the only guy he can compete against for a post season roster spot is Endy Chavez. IMO.
