I dont live in Oregon anymore and when I did I had a job that did require us to pump our own in a truck that did use diesel. and when I moved to Washington I had no issue pumping my own gas.
You (as in Oregon people in general) aren't going to hear the end of this anytime soon.

Even on the local news up here last night they were hard core trolling this issue reading statements from folks in Oregon complaining about it. People saying they didn't want to have to go to work smelling like gas, they had no idea how to work a pump and were in their 60's, people saying it would put good workers out of a job, etc. And they were laughing at it while reading it. It was entirely mocking it.

Like it or not, most of the rest of the country laughs at all of that nonsense. Most of us have been pumping gas since we were teens and we don't smell like gas after doing so and no one cares that there are bad jobs for people lost by us doing what comes natural.

I freaking hate getting gas in Oregon. Having to sit there and wait for what is normally some really creepy weird dude to come around and pump my gas just seems so freaking odd. I just want to get in, get my gas, and get out. You can't, or couldn't, do that in Oregon.

Even the coverage in Oregon kind of self mocks the situation.
Internet mocks Oregon over new self-service gas law

It really does make Oregonians looks like total douches. Sorry, but that's how literally everyone else in the country outside of Jersey sees it.

If there's an argument that it's a safety or health related thing to not let consumers pump their own gas, isn't it then entirely the worst job you can create to make someone do that full time every day? If it's breathing in fumes that make it dangerous, well let's just pay someone to do that all day without any kind of protection so only they get cancer and not the rest of us. It's the most absurd way to handle it. Maybe that was a thing in the 70's, but today's pumps don't release much fumes and even idiots that drive off with the pump still attached really don't create any danger because they are breakaway pumps that auto shut off for those tards. It just isn't dangerous anymore.

Source tells FootballScoop Chip Kelly has offered UCLA offensive coordinator role to Mark Helfrich. There have been reports that Helfrich is a candidate for the head coaching position at Arizona but that process is ongoing.

Also reports that Les Miles would bring in Hugh Freeze as the OC as his pitch for the Arizona HC job.

WSU DC is a step up from UCLA special teams coordinator. I can't imagine him turning down the DC if WSU went after him.

Well Grinch hadn't left yet so couldn't be offered the job.

Irish fans are claiming that Chip took their DC......

Manning? I just wanted Manning as our DC because he is a heck of a recruiter and did a very impressive job this year but Grinch got the credit. Our linebackers were all hurt or freshmen and still put up good defensive numbers.

UCLA's Rosen and USC's Darnold never lived up to hype, but seem armed for future in NFL

USC RB Ronald Jones will forgo his senior year and has declared for the NFL draft.
Had 1,550 yds and 19 rushing TDs in 2017.

Good decision I think. I'm sorry to see him go, but RB's life in the NFL is usually pretty short. So probably a good idea for most of those guys to leave early and go in.

I wish him the best.

Only school to shut down Love weren't we now.
Oh, so you only count the defenses stats against one team and entirely ignore how they finished their season (AC and bowl game). They gave up 83 points in their last two games (lolz).

Got it.

Who says lolz, had a rough last two games, big deal. Doesn't mean we didn't have the second best defense in the conference and aren't littered with NFL caliber talent like your beloved Mutts.

So what? Both of our defenses sucked when it counted most. There is nothing to stand up and be proud of when you finish that way. 83 points. In two games. That's really bad.

It is, but it is an average of giving up 18 points when Mata'afa played. I'm standing proud, but Manning and Grinch deserve a crap load of credit for turning a group of young misfits who outside of Mata'afa and Jaylen Thompson wouldn't have started for any team in the conference outside Oregon State.

Leach started having some true success, once he got a real DC. But tried to bail like a cheap hooker to Tennessee and got caught. Worse the deal falls through and he has to try to claim his heart was in Pullman and salvage a completely trashed reputation to recruits and the rest of his staff.

Well Grinch had enough of that caca.

—In three years, Washington State’s Alex Grinch has gone from being a relative unknown to one of the most respected up-and-coming young defensive coordinators in college football.

Per a report from Bruce Feldman Thursday afternoon, Grinch will now take his talents to his home state of Ohio, where the Grove City, Ohio native will join Urban Meyer’s staff at Ohio State as the Buckeyes’ 10th assistant coach.

Under Grinch, the Cougars’ defense acquired an identity – The Speed D – and, at his insistence, steadily improved at forcing turnovers. WSU forced eight turnovers in Breske’s final season in 2014, but finished with 28 in 2017.

WSU’s 103 tackles for loss in 2017 were the second-most in school history, and defensive tackle Hercules Mata’afa finished his junior season as a consensus All-American, with a single season record 22.25 tackles for loss.

With Grinch’s departure, WSU now has two staff defensive coaching positions to fill — rush linebackers coach Roy Manning has left WSU to join Chip Kelly’s staff at UCLA.

WSU Athletics declined to comment on the impending move.

Porter Gustin has decided to come back for next season . The kids a beast. Glad to have him back and hopefully his foot has healed. I had tickets in the second row for one of the games this season and a few players just stuck out because of size and how athletic they looked. Gustin looked like a monster at about 6'5". He was bigger in his t shirt and sweats than most of the players with pads and helmets on.
