Michigan is going to have to prove it at this point.
Until they do something, they aren't top 4.
Yep!!!

I know my previous post was as homer as it gets, but nebraska has to do so as well. I have hope for Frost to turn things around here but not counting my chickens before they hatch or putting the cart ahead of the horse

I have a secret to tell you, THe class isnt finished!! we are only done with early signing. lmfao
Sure, but that's for all teams (including the 41 in front of Nebraska). It's not like Frost is going to be able to pull kids from his old school. Nebraska will be lucky to finish in the top 25. You're either going to need like 10 more 3 star kids, or multiple four or five star kids.

No, we've had 2 top 6 recruiting classes in the past 2 years. AKA -- all Fresh or Soph. The previous classes were ranked 37th and 20th....which were our seniors and juniors this year. That's why our team relied heavily on the young kids from the last couple classes and why we dipped this year. 13 of our starters are either Soph or Fresh. Because the kids from the top 5 classes in 2012/2013 were gone and the below-average talent from the 2014/2015 classes were our upperclassman. So like I said, you're talking out of your ass.

On top of that, teams like Northwestern, Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Notre Dame lose 8+ seniors this year. Michigan loses about 4-5 starters.

Basically, get yours laughs in while you can. Next year Michigan is loaded and ready to knock some people out. Especially with if Patterson is eligible.

Wisconsin may lose that may on the 2 deep. Starting offense is 1, Fumagalli unless you consider our fullback who was splitting time with an underclassman. The defense loses 5 with all undeclassman as backups in the 2 deep

Considering Michigan was a bad call away from being a playoff team last year, I'm pretty sure that means we'd land somewhere in the top 4; at least last year.

LOL, top 5 defense...LOL. You needed Purdue to win their bowl game to have a win against a team with a winning record. You stat padding bitches aren't a top 5 defense in the B1G.

I'm glad y'all are drinking the kool-aid, that will make it funnier when you can't win 9 games next year.

Y'alls collective delusion is quite honestly my favorite thing about this board.

Jimmy Jam couldn't win a Super Bowl with 14 Pro Bowlers and he couldn't win the PAC with Andrew Luck at QB and USC on probation. He is literally the 4th best coach in your division and a walking talking clown, but drink up, more chuckles for the rest of us later on.
OK. You're wrong. but OK.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if Michigan finished 3rd in the division twice -- there's a legit argument to be made that they are in fact one of the top 4 teams in the B10.

Michigan was expected, by all accounts, to dip this year and most predictions were in the 8-9 win range because of the serious holes in our roster left by failures of the previous staff. You expect Harbaugh to work miracles. The rational people will continue to look at what he did as a good job and expect those young, talented, players that dominated on defense all year to return next year and be better. The same on offense. Harbaugh had a special needs kid at QB and managed to almost beat Wisconsin, OSU and MSU this year.

Of course I am. We return a top 5 defense, and if Patterson is eligible -- have everything we need on offense to dominate. Of our 4 losses, 3 of them were simply because we couldn't score points at a certain point in the game. We could have, and should have, easily beat MSU, OSU and Wisconsin.

I agree.

All of Nebraska’s losses were because they could’t score enough points in a certain part of the game.

Like the first 60 minutes.

AKA, based on no knowledge of returning rosters.....

Top teams perform no matter how many are returning on their rosters.

Alabama sent 10 players to the NFL last year.

I don't know how many Clemson sent, but I know they only have 4 seniors on their entire team.

Only middle of the road teams like need loads of returning starters to have success. Harbaugh/Michigan just sucks.

I genuinely didn't realize we had that many seniors. Jamarco Jones is gonna sting. Otherwise, we're replacing all seniors with players that have higher ceilings and more potential. Remember what Haskins did against michigan this year? It's gonna be a LOT worse next year.

That's all fine and dandy to say, but you're acting as though there's an even circumstance between Michigan and Clemson/Bama. Both of those schools have a top 15 recruiting average the past 4 recruiting cycles. Again, Michigan struggled because of the senior and junior classes ranked 37th and 20th in those rankings. There was a void of talent left by Hoke's last year and Harbaugh's first class which he had 3 weeks to put together.

And Michigan was able to reload.....on defense. On offense, we struggled to replace pretty much everyone and then struggled more because of injuries. I'm not sure how often I can point that out. Once Harbaugh has had the time to build up the roster like Clemson, Bama, OSU or any top team that can consistently win -- then this problem shouldn't exist.

I'm not saying we beat OSU this year, but Michigan should be able to come out with more than 8 wins. I think we have a good shot at going into the OSU game with a chance at the division like we did last year.

You still have Western Michigan, SMU, Rutgers, Indiana and Maryland...So you're guaranteed five. Nebraska probably can't write the ship in a year, so call it six.

That leaves you Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Northwestern and Michigan St.

Michigan St, Northwestern, maybe Notre Dame and Wisconsin...probably toss-ups. You should have more talent than the 1st two, but that has been true before and you still fucked it up.

I don't see you hanging with Ohio State or Penn St.

I see you going anywhere from 2-4 to 4-2 with the top half of your schedule.

You might get to 9, maybe even 10. Another 3rd place finish. Another 9 mil down the drain.
