Besides the fact that their posters love spamming the bd with meaningless record threads, their QB is a grade A douche, they like to play players who beat women, they get more benefit of the doubt in polls....know what let's just say everything and keep it simple. What do you have against Oklahoma?
A staff is three years in, but they're only really 2 recruiting classes in. So when we're looking and holes in our junior and senior classes, that goes back to the previous staff. It just is what it is. Our team was extremely young, and that's because it relied heavily on Harbaugh's first two full classes.
Next year Michigan should be awesome. We return pretty much everyone that made up a top 5 defense. Our offense got better as the year progressed and should have a solid group returning. If we get some decent improvement in the off season there, we should have at least a 10 win team next year....if not more should Shea Patterson become the starter.
But back to Oregon, I don't think this guy was worth giving one of the highest coordinator contracts in the country to.
ok then what does any of that have to do with Oregon and this thread?Besides the fact that their posters love spamming the bd with meaningless record threads, their QB is a grade A douche, they like to play players who beat women, they get more benefit of the doubt in polls....know what let's just say everything and keep it simple.
Remember that time OU beat the shit out Auburn in the Sugar Bowl? Good times.Besides the fact that their posters love spamming the bd with meaningless record threads, their QB is a grade A douche, they like to play players who beat women, they get more benefit of the doubt in polls....know what let's just say everything and keep it simple.

Just answering your questions bro.ok then what does any of that have to do with Oregon and this thread?
Who cares. All the fvking threads in this forum go on forever with shit that has nothing to do with the topic by the time they hit page 2.ok then what does any of that have to do with Oregon and this thread?
Except we didn't lose because of our defense, genius. You can lose a close game because you're on your 3rd string QB. There was 1 single game which we were out of, and it was Penn State. Michigan had a very good chance in every single other game we played in.Keep telling yourself that and when your 8-4 next year, what will the excuse be.
and LOL at your top 5 defense. If you play 8 teams without a winning record and lose to the top 3 teams you played by an average of 32-14, your stats might be a bit skewed.

That's just bullshit man. You're counting garbage points and one bad game. If Michigan could have hit open receivers, we too would have laid 50 on them like Iowa. Fact is, we were playing John O'Korn because of injuries. We were beating Wisconsin until Peters went down. And sure, Peters probably was our best QB -- but still 3rd string entering the year. He won the games he played, was beating Wisconsin and then got injured. We went on to lose that game because we had to play O'Korn -- probably our true #3 QB. SO I maintain, we lost as many games as we did because of our 3rd string QB; OKorn.Again, your 3rd string QB has a QBR that is 40 points higher than your 1st string...he was your BEST qb, maybe if your coach had realized that sooner you might not have 4 losses.
You gave up 97 points over 3 games...you are not a top 5 defense. Your poofta soft 8 games against sub .500 teams gave you stats that made you look like you were. Anybody with any semblance of vertical passing tore you up. If Barrett could hit an open receiver downfield, Ohio St would have laid 50 on you. There is not a single team on your schedule that somebody did not hold to less points...teams with better defenses than you that played harder schedules. By Comparison, we held 5 opponents to their lowest point total of the season and held every opponent but 1 within 7 points of their lowest. Again, you might have a decent front 7, but your are not a top 5 defense.
Potatoe, Po-tat-toim confused now are you talking about Oregon or Oklahoma?

Michigan vs. OSU was 24-20 going into the last minute of the game. Michigan was beating OSU late in the 3rd, 20-14, with our 3rd string QB.
Michigan vs. Wisconsin was 21-10 going into the last minute of the game. Michigan was beating Wisconsin 10-7 late in the 3rd before Peters went down.
And Penn State was Penn State. That was one bad game. Michigan is absolutely a top 5 defense.
I shouldn't have to point this out, but OSU had open guys because we were blitzing the shit out of them -- with the understanding that Barret couldn't hit them. It worked. Until he got injured and the other guy came in, which we had to adjust schemes. That's how our defense works. We play man coverage on the outside and commit extra guys for pressure. And it works really well. Sometimes it leaves guys wide open.
Now you're just being ridiculous.Thats like saying AU and UA makes Auburn and Alabama the same
MehUO Oregon
OU Oklahoma
not the same
"The top 3 teams you played lit you up for an average of 32 points. "You're a delusional homer. You are a top 5 defense in stats only. You've got good defensive linemen, you've got serviceable backers and a couple of decent db's,. It's a good defense, but the only place it is top 5 is in the B1G. State, Wisconsin, Ohio St, Penn St all have defenses that are comparable. The top 3 teams you played lit you up for an average of 32 points.
Look at the other teams you played:
Florida 111th ranked offense
Cincinnati 102nd ranked offense
Air Force 49th ranked offense
Purdue 74th ranked offense
Michigan St 92nd ranked offense
Indiana 68th ranked offense
Rutgers 128th ranked offense
Minnesota 122nd ranked offense
Maryland 120th ranked offense
Do you see why your defense looks a lot better on paper than it really is? Non of these teams outside State has a winning record and 6 of them have offenses that are in the bottom 30% of all P5 and G5 teams.
Top 5 my ass.
