We need new University leadership.
You just got a new AD and your Chancelor has only been in place a year. This is your new leadership. We need new University leadership.
Just saw on twitter that the Schino contract stalled. So there’s the best news any Tenn fan will ever hear.

Is it good news though? If this is who they were trying to sign who the hell is after this guy on the list?Just saw on twitter that the Schino contract stalled. So there’s the best news any Tenn fan will ever hear.
Yes, this is always good news. Even if they sign someone equally as bad at least there's still hope for a good hire. I can't imagine much worse than Schiano. A guy who let kids get raped who has a .500 record as a head coach. Is it good news though? If this is who they were trying to sign who the hell is after this guy on the list?
I like it. I think Schiano would be a reach for Tennessee too, I was thinking they might go with someone that at least has some experience coaching in the SEC.
Might I suggest:

Tennessee fan base definitely did the right thing protesting this hire. Makes me wonder how far down on the list Schiano was and who do they go after now?
After today, I think they would welcome him with open armsReckon how the fanbase would react to giving Kiffin a second chance?

I bet they would welcome him. That was the last time Tennessee was semi-decent.
I'll start in 1980.... Johnny Majors was the head football coach. He hired Phillip Fulmer. Ed Bolling was the president, Bob Woodruff was the athletic director. All Tennessee football players or alumni. History and tradition of the program was all over the place. In 1989 there were 6 UT players on the staff including David Cutcliff from Alabama. That continued through 1999 when Joe Johnson was the president, Doug Dickey was AD and Philip Fulmer HC was head coach. Presidents since then have been non vols. AD's have been non vols. HC's non vols. Now it's set up that the Governor elects the Board of Trust. The BoT hires the president. The president hires a chancellor. The chancellor hires and AD. The AD hires a football coach. Whole lot of people saying "Well I hired so and so to handle that".You just got a new AD and your Chancelor has only been in place a year. This is your new leadership.
I think Mullen was their ace in the hole backup and Florida blinked first. There are people out there but the problem is no way the fan base accepts anyone who hasn't been a proven head coach. Is it good news though? If this is who they were trying to sign who the hell is after this guy on the list?
4.5 for petrino. Surprisingly low. My guess is because of all the baggage he came with.I think Mullen was their ace in the hole backup and Florida blinked first. There are people out there but the problem is no way the fan base accepts anyone who hasn't been a proven head coach.
My guess is they will swallow their pride and try for a Petrino but can they afford it. No idea what his buyout was and Tenn burned probably 14 million on Butch and his assistants.
Will be interesting if Tennessee and Schiano signed any type of papers. Tennessee could owe his ass before it's all said and done.I think Mullen was their ace in the hole backup and Florida blinked first.
