Will There be 78 Bowl Eligible Teams

They've stopped a couple of games. There was a group in New Zealand that wanted a bowl
and for some reason it wasn't approved. Also, they delayed approval of a bowl in Austin, Texas.
It was supposed to be delayed a year, but they didn't have it last year, either.

I think that the only reason why it wouldn't be approved is if it couldn't be demonstrated that it is economically feasible. Could be wrong on that.

It's one of the best sports stretches of the year. You get basically 2+ weeks of football every night. I don't care if it's a couple of directional schools because after early January that's it for college football until August.

If we get bowl eligible we'll be in Shrevport. Probably vs Missouri, depending on how many SEC
teams make the playoffs/elite bowls. SEC will only have 9 eligible so they may have to give up
that bowl slot. Hopefully maybe New Mexico State would replace them.

Hell I might drive to that. Shreveport is only 2 hours away for me. And my VP is a Mizzou alum. Good times.

We needed that cupcake we played saturday before the NC St game. Nice to have everyone play and see what some other players can do + get Blackman some confidence.

Tons of cupcakes were had this year. Kansas and Baylor would be negative in the win column if you took their cupcakes away and Kansas didn't even play a P5 OOC. LOL! What pussies!

unless they are on while I am at work or I actually go to one to watch in person and miss ones at the same time yeah I watch them all

There is nothing wrong with rewarding the schools that competed throughout the year and earned it per the criteria that is set up. Those 3 to 4 weeks of extra practice are valuable to the young players on those teams and the exposure is also a positive for the school.

If the team hasn't made a bowl in 5, 10 or 15 years, that's usually a big deal to those fans...and are probably a great time to go to those games and enjoy the festivities. No need to be a scrooge about it...

I wouldn't care if every team went to a bowl game. We would just categorize the lower-end games (toilet bowls, crap buckets, or whatever), and it would still be just as prestigious to get invited to a legitimate bowl. I also think it would actually be fun to watch 2 teams with zero wins play each other. I bet they'd fight it out pretty hard.
