Oh please 11-5 and 3-1 say differently. Again I'm not saying they go to the SB. But I also don't buy into a FO not having enough depth across the ranks that if ONE player goes down your season is hapless.

So does 5-11 with Bledsoe and 0-2 in 01 when Brady fills in and goes to the SB. Franchise QB is everything, no backup has proven to be a winner except the Rodgers or Steve Youngs, but he played in USFL also

Why does everyone want to take this to the umpteenth degree? I'm not saying Hundley or any other QB can replace AR. But you can get by with a serviceable back up or an emerging rookie if you have enough depth to surround them.

Rogders, Wilson and Brady... insert a name were all unproven rookies at one time. Suffice to say there are others out there. The mold wasn't broken after RW got into the league.

They should still have a chance to make the postseason but it will be extremely tough with no offense outside of Baldwin and Wilson.

You mad bro?:sherm:
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

If we went back to leather helmets, would there be less injuries?
What about a ban of PEDs, how many in the NFL are related to that?
Fewer

Just saying that I doubt any of those 3 teams along with a few others make the playoffs without their franchise QB. Brady lost Gronk last year and won SB, lost Edelman this year and doing ok seeing the defense started out shitty, Brady is leading the NFL with the only QB over 300 yards a game and he's 40. GB is shit without AR and Seattle Wilson is the whole team right now, Big yards throwing and leading team in rushing. Doubt Philly has only 1 loss w/o Wentz, and Goff has been decent for Rams. You put a decent QB on Denver, who knows. Some Pats fans drink the Belichick Koolaid and thinks he drafts great. .500 on NE w/o Brady 0 playoffs

I give BB credit for the system more so than his drafting. His system starts with evaluating players not just on their talent but on their athletic ability, IQ, team chemistry... I think that's one thing that sets him and the Pats apart. He's willing to bypass on the next best available because he may be missing one of those attributes?
Then it goes onto practice and how he drills down to a gnats ass what to do when and where. What to expect...
He manages the cap as good as anyone. Thus giving NE mid level depth all around.
Then he uses players where they fit.
That's a simplified version of the BB system.
Hell we both know he can't draft or trade for DBs very well.

However, they did give the team hope. 11-5 and 3-1. Definetly not HOPELESS.

Yeah the Pats had hope after Cassell had played some games in 08 and last year with JG and Brissett because they were gonna get Brady back i get that. Losing Rodgers in Week 6 and having lost 3 in a row, there's no hope.

I guess it depends on if you have a backup worth a shit, which most teams don't. If RW goes down the Seahawks aren't going anywhere.

True but Belichick could have been out of a HC joband been a DC somewhere, word was Kraft wasn't happy with his 5-13 start. His record was below .500 as a HC before Brady started. Sure Cleveland was no cakewalk, but he had nothing prove. His "system" in 08 scored 29 less td's 200 points less than 07, 7 less wins and missed the playoffs. When Brady came back after the 4 game suspension, Pats offense scored double digits a game more, huge again

Yes sonny, an elite QB is always the difference maker.

Mike McCarthy has a great record with Favre and then Rodgers at QB.

He'll probably retire when Brady does.

I agree but Brady should fall off soon. guy is 40

I've said that the last couple of years and he keeps proving me wrong. Seems to get better the older he gets. That guy either sold his soul to the devil, found the fountain of youth or the avocado ice cream is the greatest food ever.

I have been watching NE as kid since 70. Guy has given us a title like Wilson in Seattle or Brees in NO

TB will always be the face of the franchise, I just hope RW can win one or two more SB's before he retires.

I think he can and will, what great player he is heart of a lion. Some guys will have a statue Ravens, with Lewis, Colts with Peyton Denver should have Elways, NE Brady Seattle Wilson if he keeps it up. GB has had 3 greats Starr, Favre and Rodgers
